Your gift could be the one that lights up their face on Christmas morning. Rally your friends, family, or coworkers to host a collection drive. Create drop-off points in your community and make it easy for everyone to contribute. Spread the word by sharing Toy Drive information on social media, in your local community groups, and with your network. The more people who know, the more toys we can collect for children in need. We all know the saying “It takes a village”. I believe that this is true. I know that I have had a village surround me and support me through all of the phases of my life and career. I am so grateful for the people who encouraged me, told me the truth and encouraged me to persevere even when I didn’t want to. I have worked really hard, but it hasn’t been alone. That is why this year, I have purchased a “Pay it Forward” ticket for the upcoming Take Charge Conference. I know that this donation will enable the Lean-in-Latinas event team to offer partial scholarships for attendees who otherwise might miss out on this year’s event. Before joining Prison Advice and Care Trust (Pact), I was unaware of the massive challenges faced by children and families during their loved ones' sentences. However, I am constantly reminded of the huge impact our collective support can have on the lives of those affected by imprisonment. One of the biggest issues are the small ￡82 is currently allocated to prison leavers to support themselves, their children, and families post-release - a amount in 2023 that falls drastically short, leaving prion leavers vulnerable to homelessness and reoffending. But here's where you can come in! By backing Pact’s Big Give Campaign, you will enable us to support more people through our Welfare Grant. Which provided essential support to prisoners and their families. Other messages could be to send a thank you message, one that doesn’t ask for anything.
