Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the Millennium Campus Network (MCN) Global Town Hall for the Class of 2024 fellows, in collaboration with the United Nations Academic Impact. It was an unforgettable experience, filled with inspiration and renewed energy to make a global impact. We heard from amazing speakers like Sam Vaghar , Jayashri Wyatt, Jeremiah Thoronka, Steven Fox, IBISO IKIROMA-OWIYE, Shreya Chaudhuri, and Victor Ashoka. Their insights were powerful, and I'd like to share three key points: 1- Teamwork Drives Success: We achieve more when we join forces. Collective efforts enable us to overcome obstacles and reach our objectives more effectively. 2- Respect and Compassion Are Key: Valuing others and understanding their experiences are fundamental to building meaningful connections and a kinder world. 3- Embrace Challenges: True growth occurs when we step beyond our comfort zones. Facing new challenges helps us develop, adapt, and realize our true capabilities. #millenniumfellowship2024 #mcnpartner #webinar

#ThrowbackThursday: Innovation doesn’t come from a single perspective.?? ?????? Let's throw it back to one of my favorite #ThankfulThursday moments! ?? GEM’s CEO Brennon Marcano hit the nail on the head in this video. He broke down how Inclusive Innovation thrives on diverse ideas—those "aha" moments that truly shift the needle. These aren't just cool ideas—they’re the fuel that drives meaningful, world-changing solutions. But here’s the real kicker:? If women, minorities, and low-income children invented at the same rate as white men from high-income families, we’d have *four times* the innovators we do today. ?? ?? And just to give you some perspective: - Only **1%** of Black-owned businesses hold a patent. - Hispanic businesses are **25% less likely** to own one. - Only **18%** of businesses with patents are women-owned. That's not just a gap—that's an *opportunity*. ?? So, as we look ahead, let’s keep pushing for a more inclusive, innovative community where diverse perspectives aren’t the exception—they’re the *standard*.? (P.S. Interested in potentially attending grad school for free? The GEM Fellowship Program application is now open. Click the link below to learn more! ??) https://lnkd.in/gPuXt3nh And hey, why not follow #Productchaste to stay in the loop on all things leadership and innovation? Let’s hit that ?? and keep the momentum going! ??#TBT #GradSchool #GEM

Highlights from the Global Webinar on October 9, 2024 The Global Webinar on October 9, 2024, was truly transformational for me. Mr. Ali A. delivered a sound and impactful presentation, especially on the topic of social impact projects. Here are some of the key lessons I learned that have inspired me to rise up and work even harder on my project, "Rising Stars Initiative"focused on empowering young people with digital skills and promoting cultural heritage: The following are the key lessons that inspired me to rise up and work harder on my project, Rising Stars Initiative: 1. Defining the 'Why' Mr. Alam emphasized the importance of understanding the "why" behind any project. His insightful explanations pushed me to reflect deeply on my initiative, helping me clearly define the purpose of Rising Stars Initiative. Now, I know exactly why I am passionate about empowering youths, it’s about bridging the gap between untapped potential and opportunities in digital skills and cultural heritage. 2. The Power of Partnerships He highlighted the value of collaborating with individuals and organizations. This was a major eye-opener for me. I realized the importance of linking up with NGOs and other organizations that can help turn our vision into reality. Partnerships are the backbone of sustainable impact. 3. The Importance of Learning This point hit me hard. Mr. Alam encouraged us to never stop learning. He advised us not to focus on obstacles or question our ability with “Can I do it?” Instead, he urged us to ask, “How can I do it?” This shift in mindset has been a game-changer for me. 4. Rethinking the Future for Youth One of his statements completely changed my perspective: “Don’t ask young people what they want to become in the future. Instead, ask them what problems they want to solve in society.” This resonated deeply with me, especially because my project is youth-centered. The world has millions of problems, and empowering young people to become problem solvers is critical. Every single takeaway from the session aligns perfectly with the goals of the Millennium Campus Network (MCN) and United Nations Academic Impact fostering leadership, collaboration, and impact-driven change. This experience has strengthened my resolve to continue driving positive change through the Rising Stars Initiative and beyond. Thank you, Millennium Campus Network (MCN) and Mr. Ali A., for the opportunity to learn and grow! #MillenniumFellowship #MillenniumFellowship24 #MillenniumFellowsGrad2024

As I sat with Peggy Dulany, discussing what it means to be a good ancestor, I found myself reflecting on my own journey. Born into a legacy of philanthropy through the Sabanc? Foundation, I’ve had the privilege of observing diverse approaches to giving—each shaped by empathy, trust, and a long-term commitment to social change. Yet, my journey has also been about forging my own path. Gate 27 represents that next step—a creative residency that challenges the conventional and fosters interdisciplinary solutions to contemporary issues. From sustainable economic development to artistic exploration, this space is a reflection of my belief in the power of collaboration and innovation. Reflecting on the lessons I’ve learned: being a good ancestor isn’t just about the resources we offer, but about the values we embed in everything we do. Compassion, inclusion, and the courage to think differently are the forces that will create the ripple effects we need for future generations. This journey isn’t just about honoring the past; it’s about building a future that aligns with who I am and the world I hope to help shape. Thank you, Peggy, for reminding me that each action we take today will leave an indelible mark on tomorrow. #Philanthropy #Leadership #Legacy #Innovation #SabanciFoundation #Gate27 #Changemakers #Collaboration Synergos

???A Belated but Thrilled Announcement!??? Although my birthday coincides with the #AOMConference every year, I'm a bit late with this post, but I just had to share my excitement and honor at participating in the?X-Culture Xackathon! ?? Together with my wonderful colleagues?Marjaana Gunkel, Saloni Sinha and Wendy Farrell, Ph.D., we developed an intriguing study titled?"Does Responsible Management Education Matter? Integrating RME into University Curricula."?Our goal is to capture the global voice of students on this critical issue. ?? Our study will focus on questions like: - What criteria are decisive when choosing a university? - What skills do students want to acquire? - What subjects should be included in the curriculum? And the question I find particularly fascinating: ???Do students believe that entrepreneurial success is significantly driven by sustainable management???? We are eagerly looking forward to sharing our findings with you! ?? A huge thank you to Wendy Farrell, Ph.D. for the fantastic organization of the #Xackathon in Chicago and to Vas Taras for the opportunity to be part of this great event. And, of course, a big thank you to all my colleagues for the inspiring exchange! At?Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), we are also deeply engaged in exploring how to motivate students worldwide - acknowledging cultural differences - to understand the importance of sustainable transformation in their careers. In September our #11thRMEResearchConference takes place in Berlin, if you are interested in sharing your experience and expertise, here you find more information: https://lnkd.in/gYW_zJUJ ?? Let's drive the conversation around?Responsible Management Education?in universities forward - it’s the key to entrepreneurial success for a green and just world where we can all live in prosperity and peace. ???? #XCulture #PRME #ResponsibleManagementEducation #Sustainability #Innovation #SustainableFuture #Prosperity #Peace

But… what if I ????????? This was my ?????????????? ???????? growing up. I was afraid of not getting the highest score, not being the perfect daughter, or not being good enough friend. However, I have come to the realisation that “failure” doesn’t actually exist. We make choices that result in outcomes. And despite any of that, ???? ??????????. That is why I always apply to every event, conference, and opportunity that suits my profile. Even when my childhood fear tries to haunt me a tiny bit. It doesn’t always work out the way I want it to. But when it does, I get the chance to experience unforgettable moments like I did this summer. Pedro Angélico accompanied me not to one but to two amazing conferences during the last months. womENcourage and EUGAIN’s Summer Training School made me interact with outstanding people and understand the existing biases towards women and other minorities. Don’t get me wrong: I don’t always get this lucky. I also get rejected and learn from those experiences. These setbacks make me more grateful for the opportunities I have already experienced and more excited to give another ?????? to those that I have yet to achieve. So, in summary, “?????????? ?????? ?????? ??, ?????????? ???????? ???? ?????? ????????, ??????’???? ???????? ?????????? ?????? ?” - Norman Vincent Peale #WomENcourage? #WomENcourage2024 #UC3M #ACM #ACMWEurope #EUGAIN #Tech #genderequality #sustainability #womenintech
