"We make a living of what we get, we make a life of what we give. Lets start with Geraldine Weiss, a hugely successful women investor. As the co-author of Dividends Don't Lie and The Dividend Connection, Weiss popularized the idea of using dividend yield as a valuation metric by indicating that there is a strong relationship between a company's ability to pay dividends over time and the performance of the company in the stock market. If you focus on dividends you clearly have a second income from it AND you can enjoy your investment by using the dividend based valuation methodology. By sharing her idea and popularizing this idea Geraldine Weiss was making herself immortal. sharif is caring and it also makes imprints on your life for long when you are gone. Another successful woman in finance sharing her insights and story is Abby Joseph Cohen.named one of the 30 most powerful women in America by Ladies Home Journal,. she highly predicted the bull market of the 1990ies and was named and was named Institutional Investor's top strategist in 1998 and 1999. today Abby Joseph Cohen recognizes that the U.S. economy is strong, but she thinks it can improve if government leaders focus on investing in technological and infrastructure innovations. An how about Europe. In Europe more and more women are successfully populating the finance and finch landscape and not just in compliance, HR or audit departments but also as business development strategists. One of them is Joanna Pamphilis, the Chief Digital & Information Officer at UniCredit, with over 20 years of experience in financial services, M&A, and consulting. Having worked with State Street, KCG, UBS and Northern Trust, she is known fo transformational leadershipwitha focus on finch and digital transformation across the financial sector. she recently called to action on gender parity. Despite the immense amount of progress modern society has achieved over a century the “pace of change is not enough”, Joanna Pamphilis recently said in her role as global head of investments and securities digital products at https://buff.ly/3WAURka Girls in ICT Day is an important date in Pamphilis’s calendar, raising awareness about the gender gap in tech and fintech. “We are seeing an equal demand in risk, in compliance, and in legal,” says Pamphilis: digital skills are needed for presentations, for communication and “for life”. Acting as a role model for women in the industry and acting as a mentor — both formally and informally — is close to her heart. these examples show it is possible we do have such great role models around us. we just need to ACT and get inspired by them. Reach out if you want to know more about them. What do you think? What is your next step, your next action, your own contribution to close the female wealth gap and the gender gap in fintech? #fintech4her #shesinvesting

Dhanesh Kothari?thank you very valid points. Dont Invest in the story do a sound ?risk analysis and Due Diligence. AND it is easier to trick with concepts like IRR rather than with entire return numbers. A Female Support Network is key. Thank you for a very practical guide

I love this spotlight on these pioneering women. Geraldine Weiss was the 1st female founder of an investment advisory firm in 1966! To put things in perspective: Due to the gender biases of the time, she signed her work as "G. Weiss" to conceal her identity as a woman. It wasn't until 1977, during an appearance on the PBS show Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser, that she revealed her true identity. Cc. April Rudin Dan Weiskopf Dr Anino Emuwa
