Support this effort. The results can impact national and state focus and spending in future years. National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) is setting the standard for digital equity and inclusion in America. An often politicized topic, but in this case, we all agree. 1) Everyone needs affordable access. 2) Everyone needs devices and skills 3) Everyone needs a sustainable plan to ensure this simple fact: new gaps will follow the current investment agenda. It’s #intenetforall now and we should ensure it’s #empowement for all in the years to come. #societaloutcomesforeducation#health#populationretention#jobs#innovation#economy
?? Attention Digital Inclusion Coalitions! NDIA is conducting a fresh survey to gain insights into your vital work in fostering digital equity across the country. Whether you participated in 2022 or not, we encourage all coalitions to designate someone to complete the survey by November 15. Your input is crucial in shaping our support for digital inclusion efforts! The findings will lead to a new directory and interactive map, helping others discover coalitions in their area. If you know of a coalition, please share the survey link with their leadership. Together, we can strengthen our communities through enhanced digital access! https://lnkd.in/gTdy8vZK

"We need more great people bringing their ideas to the table. And these people come from all over the country. They come from all sorts of backgrounds." - Stacey Dixon Diversity is not just a buzzword; it’s a strategic imperative. A diverse workforce brings a plethora of ideas and perspectives, driving innovation and fostering a culture of inclusion. It’s about creating an environment where everyone can contribute to their fullest potential, propelling the industry - and our country - forward. The importance of a diverse workforce cannot be overstated. And to inspire a more diverse workforce, we need to have diverse leaders in impactful positions because to be it, you need to see it. Let’s continue championing diversity, equity, and inclusion in all sectors, forging a better world for all. ??

Good morning!?I know you often see my posts about 4word.?I wanted to share a little insight into a recent community meeting. Ellen Bailey, a fellow member of our vibrant North Dallas 4word community, shared some insights that resonate deeply with our personal and professional journeys. I've compiled a few key takeaways, along with a link to Ellen's website.? 1. **Personal Board of Directors**: It is essential to have a personal board of directors—trusted advisors who encourage you and provide sound counsel, especially for your most ambitious ideas.?Having a group of friends who have the liberty and invitation to speak into your life is crucial to getting a good perspective.? 2. **Ethical Timeliness**: Echoing Martin Luther King's wisdom, "The time is always right to do what is right," underscoring the importance of acting on ethical decisions without delay.?When faced with an ethical dilemma, this mantra can be a guiding force to give us the courage to speak up and identify areas that need to change.? 3. **Courage and Opportunity**: Courage is the driving force behind taking risks. Standing up courageously often leads to new opportunities and opens doors. 4. **Embracing Failure**: The mindset of "I will win, or I will learn" is crucial. Failure should not be feared because it invariably leads to learning and growth. 5. **Managing Disappointment**: Allow yourself to feel disappointment, but only for a brief, defined period. After this time, it's important to move on and not dwell on setbacks. 6. **Effective Presentations**: When pitching an idea, focus on three main points: ??- **Purpose**: Clearly state the action's purpose and necessity. ??- **Process**: Outline the key initiatives and how it will be implemented. ??- **Payoff**: Explain the outcome and benefits of applying the process to the purpose. This time together reinforced the importance of 'not going it alone.'?The 4word community offers a wealth of wisdom from many different industries and roles, like Ellen's. Invite a friend to join you for a community group meeting nationwide.??https://4wordwomen.org/ https://lnkd.in/grmzMNy3

I started Girls Club Collective for 2?? reasons: 1?? The thinking that got us into this mess is not the thinking that will get us out of it, and we are overdue for a very different kind of leadership that values the collective over the individual. I believe in a beautiful, matriarchal future that works for all of us, and my experience coaching impact leaders + founders and facilitating leadership cohorts over the past 4.5 years points back, again and again, to the transformational power of CONNECTION and COMMUNITY. Usually, we don't need to learn another thing (as much as we may be conditioned to think we do). We need space to be witnessed and celebrated and inspired for the things we already know and FEEL and do. 2?? I know from firsthand experience how lonely it can be to care deeply about the work you're doing to build a better future and to wonder if you're "making a big enough impact." I ALSO know from firsthand experience what a HUGE difference it can make to feel supported by a community of other inspiring women who share your values. Over the past few days, I have felt SO held and seen and supported by our leadership team, members, and collaborators. Suprita, Stephanie, Maia, Drew, Hannah, Sam, Amber, Anna, y'all are amazing, and you so deeply embody the mutual support that is core to our community. ? I am reminded, again and again, that we aren't meant to do this alone. As I've been reading through the *inspiring AF* applications for our next cohort, it brings me so much joy to see this reflected back. ? When asked why you're joining us, you're sharing things like: "I can't do it alone. I crave connection, it's one of my three values. The other two are wonder and give a d***, and wow does this group sound like my people. I'm also very interested in this reimagined ambition piece. I got to my level of leadership by being agressively ambitious... I don't want to model that type of work obsession to the women coming up around me. We can do better." And on the hardest days of building a thing, reflections like THIS remind me that it is so, so worth it. Applications to join the next cohort of Girls Club Collective are open until June 4. If what we're building sounds like a place you want to be, please know that we are your people. WELCOME HOME ?? . https://lnkd.in/gJUaxjj5
