The promise of streaming media is more than just an on-demand entertainment experience. As the technology and infrastructure evolves, so will the mechanics of storytelling. Today, user interactions, metadata integration, and media distribution and delivery are only integrated in the most ad hoc fashion. Over the next 5 years, all of it will come together in ways and in places we may not have expected and while AI will play an important role, the role of creatives will simply evolve to take advantage of all the possibilities this ubiquitous convergence opens up. Those of us in the industry are standing on the precipice of a revolution and real innovation is just now reaching critical mass.
