The Westchester County Advisory Council for People with Disabilities held its 5th Diverse Abilities Job Fair in October 2024 at the Westchester County Center. The event hosted more than 300 job seekers and 60 businesses and resource providers. Job seekers received one-on-one screening interviews and attended a resume clinic presented by Jawonio, with Westchester Putnam Career Center staff providing resume feedback. Prior to each job fair, business partners attend educational sessions to learn about the advantages of recruiting from the disabled community, as well as retention and success strategies.
