?????? ?????? ???? ?????? ???????????? ???? ?? ???????????????? ?????????????????????????? ??????????????? On a scale of 1-5, how confident are you that you truly know how it’s going? Would it surprise you to learn that most technology and product leaders I talk to lack visibility into the 7 leading causes of software engineering project failures? If you’ve ever experienced what Christopher Walker calls a ???????????????????? ?????????????? – green on the outside with status reports ?? ?? ?? but red on the inside ?? ?? ?? the week before launch – then you know how risky it is to rely blindly on the standard project status reports we all learned in Project Management 101. ?????? ???????? ???? ?????? ?????? ?? ???????? ???? ???????????? ????????? Imagine starting every sprint retrospective with a report (like the one you see below ??) that highlights the 7 most common hazards that derail projects. Instead of being blindsided, your team could proactively focus on the risks that matter most and course-correct before it’s too late. If this resonates, I highly recommend reading Christopher Walker's post that details how we did this at Praxent. Let’s start making every project a little less watermelon, and a lot more green. ?? https://lnkd.in/g4FQrCUA
Hi Tim, I have a few opportunities for our potential partnership. Can we connect to discuss?
this scorecard is ?? can I pretty plz ask permission to use it? I love this perspective on the project progress
"Watermelon Project" ??
Ah, the classic 'watermelon project' —green and happy on the outside, chaos on the inside. Been there, felt the panic! Having a tool to actually catch those red flags before they explode? Game changer. Thanks for sharing this, Tim—definitely something every team could use to sleep better at night!
How do you ensure teams stay aligned and honest about project health, especially when status reports don’t tell the full story? Would love to hear more about how Praxent tackled this... ?? ??

4 个月Tim Hamilton this approach definitely resonates, as so many programs/projects don't have a well-defined end goal or have poorly defined phased goals (I've seen this many, many times). Tracking the risk to what your end goal really is and measuring along the way is crucial to actually getting there.
