Nice but give it some thought if you were to buy here or anywhere given this as the new norm in new residential developments both social & private for rows & rows of terraced (cheaper to build) houses with no front gardens 7 mix of in-curtilage (your own space assigned to house / deeds / land registry) parking, assigned parking in common area, non assigned common area parking here are a few thoughts on the post below as an example Access may or may not be impacted depending on the neighbours vehicles and how they park them. #parkingwars #entitlement #selfish #bullies #lovehate #cantpickandchooseyourneighbours Do neighbours have more than 2 vehicles, a work van, adult kids with their own vehicles ? Is there ample off street safe parking spaces for additional vehicles ? Visitor parking provision exist on the street or estate ? EV Charging ? were all headed that way so off street and in-curtilage should be the standard to aim for House layouts back to back to share on services during construction Door to door is neighbourly but we all have family we don't get on with so the hope is you get on with your neighbours. Every door knock they have they're outside your door you hear it all, kids, door to door sales, chats #privacy #ontopofeachother What if #lovehate knock on the wrong door ? What looks good on a drawing or 3D image may not be effective in reality so consider a young couple moving in, start a family and kids grow. Also consider an established family with adult children / grandchildren or with partners Add in people with disabilities and access for the impaired, wheelchair bound or elderly with walkers Getting the pram / buggy - what if its #twins a side by side wouldn't be possible Even day to day stuff like getting that wheelie bin from your front window. The kids bicycles, the shopping, the stuff that needs to get into the back garden. Active travel, bicycles need to come through the house into the rear garden for security so is the hallway and its layout wide enough to allow that ? Would you manage the same with a cargo bicycle ? Lament the loss of a side entrance if you want to get a garden shed, cabin, outbuilding for the rear garden (assuming its an aspect useable and big enough) built up from scratch or crane the panels over the house (assuming houses back onto each other so no rear lanes). Patio, landscaping, extension to rear all that material in and excavations out through the house Lament the loss of the front garden, bit of greenery, bit of space, privacy from your front window and off street parking Liveable spaces, quality of living, useability Parking space width - get your new born in and out of your cars parked in that space without dooring. You might even have to do that on the street before parking the car up in the spaces Minimum requirements continually under pressure as the requirement for higher density increases. At what point do you draw the line ? #liveablespace #mentalhealth #space #privacy

??????For all of my Virginia #fireservice #ems #lawenforcment folks in the audience - If you aren’t aware of this happening in our State, it indeed is.?????? Where we stand currently - The general assembly approved and the Governor signed HB368 and the companion SB195. These bills directed the Board of Housing and Community Development (BHCD) to convene an Advisory Committee to provide recommendations for allowing a single stair exit for group R-2 (multi-family) structures up to six stories in height. The committees findings and recommendations are due back to the General Assembly by December 1, 2024. Additionally, a code change proposal was submitted for the 2021 code cycle for up to five stories. That proposal was not approved by the Board. The legislatively ordered Advisory Committee met for the first time this week in #richmond Collectively, we had very open and frank discussions about the obvious concerns not only from the fire service, but also those from our EMS and Law Enforcement partners. We also begun to sort through a working list of recomendations on how to make this as safe as possible for our citizens. What can you do? These meetings are posted/open to the public for in-person comment. You can find the agenda and upcoming meeting dates https://lnkd.in/eNuCxUdJ I highly encourage you to attend in-person to have your recommendations heard. You can choose to represent yourself as a citizen or represent your special interest group/agency (highly recommend seeking pre-approval for the later). ***Please reach out to me directly with any concerns or recommendations that you or your Department have.*** Feel free to share this post to anyone in your #virginia network.

After the recent introduction of the enforcement of pavement parking in Scotland, it was recently reported that councils are calling for the offence to be banned across England too, as it is currently only enforced in London.? ? We recognise the implications of pavement parking on the community, with it affecting accessibility to wheelchair users, pushchairs and older people to highlight some, and increasing the risk of road collisions and traffic congestion. ?? ? The enforcement of pavement parking can keep your streets safe and help road users have a better view of the road, contributing to better road safety and making roads more accessible for all.?? ? At NSL, taking care of the community we serve is at the heart of what we do as our Civil Enforcement Officers go above and beyond their daily duties of enforcing parking restrictions and providing essential assistance to the safety and wellbeing of local communities. We recently supported the The City of Edinburgh Council in enforcing the regulations and are already seeing a significant improvement in road users' behaviour.?? ? https://lnkd.in/ehs5CauG As we know we have FG at the helm for the past 14 years and how both FG/FF 'last hurrah pitch to stay in power' is underway. Programme for Government 2020 interview with the Business Post August 2020 with Helen McEntee Minister of Justice and now FG deputy leader 'the notion of young offenders getting less sentences may cause some concern among "law and order" members of FG but McEntee says "she is very comfortable with it" Comfortable with what? "Garda can give cautions to young offenders, and get them to apologising to their victims, paying compensation, and agreeing to return to school. But this system known as the Garda Diversion Programme ends at 18? Deputy Leader of FG Helen McEntee 2020 responds "I think 24 is an appropriate timescale to allow someone to keep getting that support for a bit longer. I do think at 18, and that kind of cut-off, you are into a very different system, particularly within the judicial system" she says Well now Just to add, I grew up in the midlands in the 60s/70s/some of 80s, and its still one of the poorest areas in 2024. Back then, the extremist assaultive ideology - the politics of obligation in history, multiple violations within the classic exercises, multiple illnesses mischaracterised, subsequent multiple deaths, five directly prematurely, and all the vicarious co-morbidities that impales the sovereign." I know this is a long way away from McRedmond Glenageary/Irish Times Cambridge/Dublin 2/9 Ignatius Exuberance for Personal Transformation.
