In October, Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) kicked off its Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) deployment, a major step toward smarter grid management for nearly 33,000 members across eight counties.
Partnering with NRTC and Itron, Inc., VEC will modernize 40,633 meters over 2,880 miles of line and 2,056 square miles. This initiative aligns with VEC’s commitment to providing efficient, reliable, and innovative service to its members.
System acceptance testing is set to begin in early 2025. Here’s to building a smarter, more resilient grid for Vermont!
