Heat can’t stop us ??? We had the honor of sponsoring + attending the ILWU Local 8 Annual Bloody Thursday Picnic, which took place on the 90th Anniversary of Bloody Thursday. Portland Local 8 FCU remembers and honors those killed on July 5, 1934 during the violent event in San Francisco. We also recognize the struggle it took to form the ILWU, and the ongoing challenges the ILWU and other union workers face to this day.

Another reading source is what our enemies post (tactics, plans, implements). However, lucky for us, our enemies publish their tactics on line.. Soooooo... Start reading and preparing. Knowing their playbook will allow you to respond so much faster. This should be standard reading for security leaders where protests might occur. Amat Vicotria Curam...

PSHB has not been able to be eradicated in other parts of the world that it has spread to. It is highly unlikely that it will be eradicated in Perth and beyond. There is no effective treatment for the bug. Public education has been poor in response to the spread, with most people totally oblivious to there being an issue until trees are removed. As such, people may be moving infected materials and assisting the spread. Planting trees now with non-reproductive host tree species can start to future proof our Urban Forests against this pest. Diversity of tree species is critical in well managed Urban Forests to avoid impacts from pests and diseases causing mass decline of tree populations. #arborist #trees #pshb #urbanforest #walga
WALGA is calling on the State Government to increase its efforts to eradicate the borer and rebuild our lost tree canopy. This resulted in WALGA leading a public push in the mainstream media that was covered extensively by print, television, radio and online media outlets over Sunday 21 and Monday 22 July 2024. WALGA President Karen Chappel AM JP authored an opinion piece (op-ed) that was published in today’s edition of The West Australian. Today we were planning to go to the protest in Utrecht to try to stop the budget cuts in Higher Education. Unfortunately this protest was cancelled. Taking a picture is all we can do now, but we hope this makes people hear us. ??Keep investing in our future change agents.
