The NJ Alliance for Action awarded PATH Director/General Manager Clarelle DeGraffe its prestigious Golden Eagle Award for Engineering at its 50th anniversary celebration in New Brunswick, N.J. The Alliance, the region’s premier engineering and construction trades association, recognized Clarelle’s extraordinary career in engineering and her leadership on a range of critical Port Authority projects. These include the rebuild of the World Trade Center and -- as director of PATH since 2019 -- the $2 billion Superstorm Sandy reconstruction program, the rollout of a new fare collection system, and the railroad’s current PATH Forward initiative to modernize the 116-year-old PATH system through track, station, and rail car replacement and rehabilitation.
