Would you do it? ?? Yesterday, I interviewed for the Warehouse Operations Supervisor position, responsible for leading a team of 15 to 20 individuals. The company's offer stood at 2500 AED, which I found to be low. When I raised this concern, I was told that people were willing to accept the role for that amount without complaints. Curiously, I asked the recruiter if they would accept the position for 2500 AED, to which they replied with a firm "no." This led me to question, if you wouldn't take the role for yourself, how can you expect someone else to accept less than their worth? Pay people what they deserve, and you won't need to constantly seek new hires. #SalaryNegotiation #KnowYourWorth #EmployeeValue

How do I know what great looks like in hiring?* Very simple! Big tasting/testing sample. I have met amazing people at work before. Let me explain ???? If I go to the bakery ?? there are many indicators ( examplary by the texture, look, smell, taste, how the bakery works) I can judge if what I’m eating is good, great, mediocre or miserable. It’s because I have eaten in many bakeries around the world, I have passionately studied differences of traditional Polish, French, Italian, Portuguese baking or yeast vs massa madre dough - I can go as deep as my time and cognitive abilities allow me to. And my hunger in this case. Analogy to hiring: I met thousands of people around the world, interviewed and tried to understand their working capabilities. I hired and failed many times, and most importantly I saw amazing people at work, some of which I hired, some I failed to hire. This is why I know after 10 years what great looks like. Does it always work? Naaah, life is too beautiful complex. But if you don’t design your system - you will have more problems in identification of indicators and direction which way to go. *I know what great looks like for me, it doesn’t mean it will translate to what YOUR great looks like - we might value different things, but like with food - we might have different taste but some objectively superior aspects will be shared for great work performance. Stick to the basics.

Look at you, are you proud of yourself? Look at you, jumping from one job to the other. Four years, seven different organizations, seven different designations. Only you have worked as a storekeeper, front desk officer, warehouse clerk, administrative officer, sales rep, security and facility manager – all in just four years. Jack of all trades, master of none. Once someone offers you a little more money than what you're currently earning, you jump at it without a second thought.
