Access to banking services is essential for human trafficking victims to begin to rebuild their lives and establish economic stability. Yet, victims often find it difficult or impossible to establish accounts because their traffickers have committed criminal activity in accounts in their names, destroyed their credit, or they lack the necessary documentation required by banks. Without access to financial services, there is a much higher chance they are re-victimized in the future. In this webinar, I’m joined by four experts (?ana Kelava , dipl.oec, Nick Lewis OBE, Rebekah Lisgarten and Homeland Security Investigations’ Lindsay Thomas) who will discuss these challenges and give practical guidance for how financial institutions can work with victims to bring them back into the financial system. All of us can do something to help! Join the webinar and we’ll tell you how. I’ll include a link to register in the comments.
