Happy Juneteenth! Sometimes we might not understand the true meaning of an observance or may be concerned about if we should/the best way to observe/celebrate especially if we are not a member of the culture. I love this Q&A style article which covers questions that you might have about Juneteeth, the newest federally recognized holiday - purpose, how to celebrate, and more. https://lnkd.in/e2rR9qvB

November is National Native American Heritage Month As we celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of Native American communities, let's also acknowledge the unique challenges they continue to face. From governance systems to sustainable agricultural practices, Native Americans have had a profound impact on the development of the United States. But how much do we really know about Native American history and culture? This month, let's make a conscious effort to learn more. Visit a museum, attend a virtual event, or watch a documentary about Native cultures. Let's also recognize the contributions of Native Americans to our modern way of life. From food cultivation to influencing government structures, their impact is undeniable. As we celebrate, let's also commit to promoting equity and health awareness in Native communities. Let's use this month as an opportunity to learn, grow, and acknowledge the rich heritage of Native American communities. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #DiversityAndInclusion #EquityAndJustice
