We interviewed Paul Spies, our former Junior Events & Riders Coordinator, about his internship experience at FWT: What did you like the most about this experience? "Having responsibilities and working from the beginning until the end. You start preparing all the website and liveheats, you close invitation and you upload results, it's the whole tour and much more, especially on site getting insights into many different fields." How do you think experience will contribute to your future career? "It shaped me and my attitude towards work I enjoyed. I experienced how far I could push if necessary, driven either by internal motivation or the urge to deliver. I learned how to handle responsibilities and improved my communication with teammates to help each other or troubleshoot in stressful situations." How would you introduce the FWT to someone new to the company? "Dynamic group of people, coming together to create and push a sport to the limit with pure quality but never losing the fun or relaxation in between." Do you have any anecdotes from this past season to share? "No matter how stressful it is in the moment, the beer after tastes 10 times better if you did your best!" Explore this position, along with nine others that are currently open for the upcoming winter season at FWT. Apply here: https://lnkd.in/eucVikHi

CEO @ Hey Mr + Madison Taylor Marketing | Marketing Strategists | Growth Partners | Social Experts | Brand Strategists
This will be me on Sunday. I know the reel is funny... but... I travel regularly to Denver, so much so that I feel like half my life is there now. (So much so, that I just keep my toiletries in the office cupboard!) Managing a business and team from a different country is far from easy. I'm naturally caring, a servant leader, and if I'm honest, a bit clingy! I want to help, step in and take charge. But I can't always do that... and it sucks. I'm SO grateful for the wonderful team we have, and the support they give each other, especially when I can't. There are some really important things we have to work at in order to maintain our connection, our processes, our organisation... ?? Communication is our compass. In a hybrid-remote setting, clear and frequent communication isn't just helpful—it's the lifeline of our team. I've found that there's no such thing as over-communication. Echo your messages, reinforce your goals, and keep the dialogue flowing. ?? Consistent check-ins are non-negotiable. I make it a point to have weekly check-ins with everyone. It's a pulse-check on their well-being and progress, ensuring no one feels isolated or directionless. ?? Friday's on Slack are for reflection. As we wind down the week, I ask my team to share their highs and lows, celebrate their peers with kudos, and engage with a light-hearted sign-off question. It's a blend of introspection and fun – a morale booster heading into the weekend. ?? Camera on for connection. In video calls, seeing each other's expressions and surroundings builds a bridge between our worlds. It's not just about accountability; it's about fostering a sense of togetherness. ?? Cultivate a culture of transparency. Honesty and openness aren't just policies; they're the pillars of trust within the team. I encourage candid conversations and create a safe space for my team to voice their thoughts and concerns. ?? Make the most of in-person moments. When we do meet face-to-face, it's a celebration of our team spirit, an opportunity to deepen our connections, and a time to collaborate in ways that only physical proximity allows. ? Embrace flexibility and empathy. Recognizing and accommodating individual circumstances without sacrificing team objectives has been key. Life happens, and a flexible approach has led to a more committed and content team. ?? Set clear expectations and provide the right tools. It’s crucial to set clear goals and provide the tools and resources needed to meet them. This clarity empowers the team to prioritize and stay on track, regardless of location. What are your strategies for leading a hybrid-remote team? #Leadership #RemoteWork #HybridTeams #TeamManagement #Communication #Productivity #WorkCulture #Denver #denveragency #socialmediaagency #SayHeyMr
Thanks to?Natalie Eagling?for traveling across the pond to hang out with us! ?????? #DenverAgency?#ColoradoMarketing?#DenverColorado?#MarketingAgency

There is a specific hole at a specific golf course where I got the call that I landed my dream job in Tech. 3 years later on a company day off, I’d get news on that same exact hole that my role at another company was being eliminated. Highs and lows. I don’t think it was a coincidence, nor do I believe in coincidences at all. I do believe there is significance in physical locations where we experience life altering experiences. I also believe that we should continue to revisit and frequent those locations - there’s something there for us. Can I make sense of or explain why the 3rd Hole at Costa Mesa Country Club happens to be marked by these two meaningful events in my career? I cannot. But I can tell you that every time I round the corner and head to the tee box, my eyes and ears are surely perked. Lesson here: Don’t forget those places where life took a turn. Often what looks like a setback can be a setup for more than you could dream up on your own. PS - this is not a pic from Costa Mesa. This is a shot out of the lava in Hawaii.
