NHMRC and the Consumers Health Forum of Australia are reviewing the 2016 Statement on Consumer and Community Involvement in Health and Medical Research (the Statement). The Australian Health Research Alliance facilitated nationwide in-person and online workshops to discuss what could be included in a revised Statement. NHMRC also ran an online survey where stakeholders could provide a written submission which are now published on NHMRC’s website: https://ow.ly/LjuU50UsecS Reports on the feedback received through the workshop and online survey are published on AHRA’s website: https://ow.ly/wP4C50UsecX and NHMRC’s website: https://ow.ly/fazu50UsecW. The draft revised Statement will be released for public consultation in 2025. Stakeholders will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the draft Statement before it is finalised.

"With the rapid expansion of digital health tools in healthcare delivery, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s fascinating to explore how it interacts with patient pathways. My focus [in RAPIDE Project EU] will be identifying these tools used to maintain routine for tracer medical conditions and to conduct systematic reviews of effectiveness on two selected digital tools.
