The Faktor D innovation process has come to a successful close, and I’m proud to share that two of my projects received substantial funding to get started ??: ??? #PeacePipeParlament – Tackling news fatigue through an interactive AI-powered quiz. By distinguishing between real and fake parliamentary statements and guessing their origins, players experience firsthand the thoughtful, fact-based debates in politics – rebuilding trust and understanding in a playful way. ?? #reasonAide – A web-app connecting offline and online discourse. It structures everyday discussions, enabling quick, meaningful exchanges while AI assists in understanding diverse perspectives and formulating responses. Over the past months, the program brought together 23 stakeholders from #Germany, #Austria, and #Switzerland to explore how AI can strengthen social cohesion. From reducing polarization to breaking down stereotypes, this process proved that technology can bring us closer together ??. Innovation is always disruptive! Innovation is always big! #Innovation is based on #GenAI! Well, it could be, but it doesn't have to be. That's what we focused on at an internal event for my area (we call it “Not a Townhall Townhall”). 13 teams presented innovation-related topics in virtual breakout rooms to their colleagues. And of course, these breakout groups were also about GenAI solutions. But did you know that innovation is also an integral part of #decommissioning? To be honest, that wouldn't have been my first thought either. But this breakout group team proved that getting rid of outdated stuff does indeed offer huge potential for innovation.??Innovation can happen literally everywhere, and it's not just a topic for a few colleagues, it's everyone's business! ?? Our first-ever WDAI Bay Area meetup on Sept. 25 was a blast! Casual vibes with wine, food, and fantastic AI discussions. A big thank you to everyone who joined! It was inspiring to see our co-founders, Nichole Sterling and Helen Lee Kupp, shine at the Glean event alongside Sandhya Simhan, who’s making waves as Principal Product Marketing Manager at Glean! ??? During our 4th session of Show Not Tell, we saw AI in action! From Katalina Mayorga’s El Camino search engine to Sandhya Simhan’s job-hunting tutorial using Bardeen, and Yana Tornoe’s AI email outreach tools, our members showcased their innovative skills. ?? We also kicked off Module 3 of 30 Days of GenAI Projects for Cohorts 3 & 4 on Sept. 9! This ongoing pilot program helps our community learn #GenAI tools through hands-on projects. We’ve refined it into three modules, including advanced #AI use cases, building #customGPTs, and creating lightweight #LLM applications. As the only students in the room, we were immersed in discussions that felt both timely and transformative. The insights from this event aligned perfectly with my research into turnaround private equity strategies. For distressed companies facing complex operational inefficiencies, AI tools like WalkMe are poised to be game-changers in streamlining processes, reducing friction, and driving value creation. This event also underscored a broader realization: AI standardization is no longer an innovative luxury but an operational necessity. Some highlights of this time at QuantPi: ??????As always: meeting and working alongside amazing people. It was the only part missing from my overall experience. Going from 8 people to 30 in one year and a half was a blast, and now that I’ve seen all stages, from early days to scaleup, to post-exit, to large enterprise, I can finally say I know what works and what doesn’t at each stage and am more mindful about how I can contribute and what I enjoy. ?? Learning about an upcoming market with an incredible TAM. From a Product perspective: what problems arise in enterprises when building, adopting and deploying AI in real-life use-cases, and how to tackle these problems with cutting-edge technology to create tangible value for enterprises. ??That’s all for now!
