Celebrating the success of our Fellows and our partners - Uplift Code Camp, our first ever partner in Philippines. John Lester Bodonal, the first graduate from the Uplift-Pledges Program, is now a Dev Intern at Anteriore Inc. "I was fortunate to enroll under the Uplift Pledges program, which provided me with invaluable support. The sense of community at Uplift is incredible. The people are approachable, and the support is constant. There were moments when I felt like giving up, but they always had my back, encouraging and uplifting me to push through. Beyond the classroom, Uplift’s engaging community made the experience even better. I had the chance to connect with amazing people who were fun, supportive, and always ready to help. Thank you, Uplift Code Camp, and special thanks to Uplift Pledges for giving me the opportunity to pursue the Fullstack Development course! I highly recommend this program to anyone—whether you're starting from zero, filled with self-doubt, or even if you already have some experience and want to grow your skills further." #CelebratingSuccess #CelebratingPartnerSuccess #ITSkills #FullstackDevelopment

The Power of Community???? Hey fellow coders! I'm thrilled to share my experience of finding a supportive community as a young programmer. Just a year ago, I started my coding journey at the age of 16, and it's been an incredible ride. Now, at 17, I can confidently say that being part of a community has been a game-changer for me. When I first started coding, I felt overwhelmed and alone. I had no one to turn to for guidance, and online resources only went so far. But everything changed when I discovered online/offline Communities. These platforms connected me with fellow programmers who shared their knowledge, experience, and encouragement. I found mentors, made friends, and learned from others' successes and failures. The community helped me: - Stay motivated and accountable - Get feedback on my projects and code - Learn new technologies and best practices - Develop soft skills like communication and teamwork - Build a portfolio and establish credibility Being part of a community has also opened doors to new opportunities, such as: - Collaborating on open-source projects - Participating in hackathons and coding challenges - Attending meetups and conferences - Accessing job opportunities and internships If you're a young programmer like me, I urge you to find your community. Don't be afraid to ask questions, share your work, and learn from others. Remember, coding is a journey, and having a supportive community makes all the difference. Let's grow and learn together!??????? #linkedin #post #september #github #stackoverflow #frontend #community #friends #tech #software

?? I’m thrilled to announce the successful completion of GirlScript Summer of Code Extend 2024, marking a memorable month in my journey into open-source contributions! ???? This one-month experience was filled with learning, growth, and collaboration. I had the chance to contribute to over six projects ??, adding new features and making meaningful improvements. However, the journey wasn't without its challenges. ?? ?? ?? Challenges I Faced ?? As a first-time contributor, I initially didn’t know where to begin. Concepts like: ?? pull requests ?? git commands (push, clone, commit) ?? forking projects, felt unfamiliar and a bit overwhelming. ?? ??? Overcoming the Obstacles ?? With the support of mentors like Sanjay Viswanathan and fellow contributors at GirlScript Summer of Code, I took things one step at a time. By implementing each concept in real projects, I learned and grew. This hands-on approach helped build my confidence, and soon, I was making impactful contributions. ??? ?? Key Insights Gained ?? This experience taught me the value of ?? collaboration ?? persistence, and ?? continuous learning. Working in open-source helped me appreciate both self-driven learning and community support. Each contribution brought new skills and insights that I’m excited to carry forward. ???? A heartfelt thank you to the organizers, mentors, and contributors of GirlScript Summer of Code for making this journey possible! Here’s to many more open-source adventures ahead! ???? #GSSoCExtend #OpenSource #Learning #CodingJourney #Achievements #contributor #journey #git #github #learning #opensourceprojects #klu #students #gssoc #girlscript #projects #reviews #2026grads #cse #klcse #TechCommunity #DeveloperLife #Programming #TechSkills #CodeNewbie #CodeForGood #Mentorship #CodingBootcamp #TechJourney #CodingSkills #SoftwareDevelopment #ContributingBack #CollaborativeLearning #GrowthMindset #BeginnerFriendly #FirstContribution #ProjectManagement #BuildingTogether #girlscriptfoundation #girlscriptsummerofcode #kluniversity #klu #klcse

Finally the wait is over and we are unboxing ?? ???? I am gladly happy to share that I have obtained a new certification from GirlCode Group . This is not just a certificate, but a new skill set for a girl coder. At the beginning of this journey, I was scared I wouldn’t make it because I had a lot on my plate. However, through dedication and commitment, I managed to pull through. ?? For those three months, it wasn’t as easy as it seemed. The weekly formative and summative assessments, the projects, and attending classes every day taught me how to manage my time and collaborate with my fellow coders and our facilitators. ?? I learned new frameworks like Flask APIs, which we used to build backend sever for Python??,This framework allows us to have software that is able to issue requests, process, and provide responses in real-time. It is flexible, simple, and scalable and the meantime of learning programming I have aquired knowledge of the importance of collaboration and teamwork. ?? I am grateful for this opportunity????. If there is something you want, go grab it because the fact that you want it means you deserve it and can own it. ?? To young ladies like me, let’s dive deeper into this Tech Industry, learn, and Code with no fear and no shame. ???? #IamAGirlCoder and #IamSoftwareDeveloper

From Struggles to Progress: Day 39 of My LeetCode Journey 39 days ago, I embarked on a journey that I wasn’t sure I would stick to—solving LeetCode problems daily. To be honest, problem-solving wasn’t my passion; my heart lies in web development. Yet, I knew the importance of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) for placements and future growth, so I decided to push myself out of my comfort zone. It wasn’t easy in the beginning. The first few problems felt like a wall I couldn’t break. I remember staring at my screen for hours, unsure of where to start. But thanks to guidance from amazing instructors like Abul Beri and the supportive LeetCode community, I started finding my rhythm. Here’s how I approach my daily LeetCode problems: 1?? Read the Problem Thoroughly: I read it twice or thrice to fully understand the requirements. 2?? Think Through the Day: I reflect on the problem during my daily routine—on my way to college or during breaks. This helps me develop a rough plan. 3?? Code in the Evening: Back home, I sit down to turn my ideas into code. Success feels great, but failures are equally valuable. 4?? Seek Help When Stuck: Whether it’s hints, videos from YouTube , or studying a solution in C/C++ and coding it in Java, every challenge teaches me something new. 39 days of consistency have taught me that progress doesn’t come from motivation alone—it comes from discipline. Even when I feel like giving up, I remind myself why I started. To anyone out there struggling with DSA, remember: it's okay to start small, fail, and seek help. What matters is showing up every day. Thank you, LeetCode, for being an integral part of my learning journey. Let’s keep coding and conquering challenges! #LeetCode #DSA #LearningJourney #CodingLife #Consistency #dailychallanges #POTD

Thanks to the LeetCode time travel feature, I’ve managed to keep my streak alive (a lifesaver for weeks like these!). ?? Being a student and a developer-in-training can feel like juggling a million tasks at once, but it’s all part of the journey. Next week, I'll be back on track with new challenges and ready to keep pushing through. Anyone else finding unique ways to balance both? Let’s hear your tips! ???? #codingjourney #studentlife #LeetCode #growthmindset #universitygrind
