???Fueling a Greener Space Economy ??? We're ecstatic to unveil our investment in ISPTech, Germany's pioneer in eco-friendly propulsion systems that are revolutionizing spacecraft of all sizes! The team around founders Felix Lauck and Lukas Werling raised a €2m Pre-Seed round from lead investor HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds, other investors Possible Ventures, and us. ISPTech's technology is based on more than ten years of R&D by the two founders at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). It uses non-toxic green fuels, which reduce overall costs, allow rapid availability, and simplify spacecraft operations. The team has developed two technologies: one is space-ready (HyNOx), and one offers unique advantages (HIP_11). HyNOx offers unique advantages for smaller spacecraft. It runs on Ethane and Nitrogen Oxide and, unlike competitors, allows continuous operation at high performance without overheating issues. HIP_11 is a unique propulsion technology for large spacecraft like landers, capsules, and satellites. It offers less complexity and cost than other systems with similar thrust levels and will be refuellable. HIP_11 also allows hybrid operation, i.e. electric and chemical propulsion simultaneously. [Simera Sense Raises EUR 13.5 Million for Expansion Plans] South African NewSpace company, Simera Sense, providing end-to-end optical payloads for the small satellite Earth observation industry, has raised EUR13.5 million in a recent growth investment round. The funding was led by NewSpace Capital and Knife Capital. Simera Sense offers off-the-shelf high-resolution cameras ready for use by clients across the global small satellite industry. This funding round marks a crucial milestone for Simera Sense, which intends to develop its product range further, expand production capacity, accelerate on-board processing capabilities to meet rising client demand and proceed with an additional production facility in Europe to increase capacity by five times. However, Simera Sense’s main production facility will remain in South Africa for the foreseeable future. This funding round is the company’s first fundraising effort since it was set up with a seed capital of EUR 1.2 million in 2018. We are proud to share that EIT Food Accelerator Network alumnus constellr?has achieved a key milestone towards the launch of their first satellite and successful spacecraft integration, which will propel the startup into the commercial space sector. ? The payload for constellr's 1st satellite to be launched in October has been shipped by OHB Sweden and received at Kongsberg NanoAvionics’ facilities in Vilnius for integration with the platform. The project now stands at the brink of the crucial entire satellite assembly, integration and testing (AIT) phase.? ? Overcoming numerous challenges on the way, the constellr team has successfully navigated the journey from conceptualisation to execution with key focus towards the launch deadline with SpaceX in Autumn.? ? Congratulation to Max Gulde (CEO), Christian Mittermaier (CFO), Tobias Menne (CCO) and the entire constellr team. The successful spacecraft integration will not only mark a significant mission achievement, but it will propel constellr into the commercial space sector.
