Turns out, the company nailing brand ads at the moment... is Australian lamb. ?? Managing to somehow turn dead baby sheep into a feel-good satire, it's a reminder of three things: 1. Ads aren't just for TV. This one is has 500k views on YouTube in 5 days, similar on TikTok. 2. The annual ad has real sticky brand power. Whether it's John Lewis at Christmas, Superbowl commercials, or Australian Lamb for Australia day, there's a demand (and an expectation) for this all-in, memorable piece of brand video - disguised as an ad. Which leads to... 3. You need a budget. Reminder from Barbie. ?? Putting everything on an annual, budget-rinsing video content campaign is scary. It demands relevance and creativity to pull it off. But when you nail it, you create this strong association with part of the annual calendar and a brand halo to carry you through the rest of the year. #Branding #advertising #AustraliaDay #AustralianLamb
