Job Title: Insurer (Underwriter/Claims) Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Construction Job Summary Our client, a leading construction company in Africa is recruiting for the role of an Insurer. Responsibilities ·??????Arrange bonds for new contracts as may be required ·??????Ensure that bond wordings are in conformity with approved templates ·??????Prepare letters to banks to confirm authenticity of bonds issued ·??????Follow up with relevant departments to get timely updates on the performance of subcontractor’s advance payments ·??????Prepare letters to subcontractors and their guarantors to request for prompt renewal of bonds ·??????Prepare letters to Subcontractor guarantors to confirm authenticity of supplemental bonds issued. ·??????Manage all insurance needs for the company (Motor Insurance, Contractor All Risk, Group Life, Professional, Public Liability etc.) ·??????Arrange for Insurance Payment at renewals ·??????Prepare letters of claim/ death benefits and follow-up to ensure completion and payment by necessary agencies ·??????Perform any other functions requested by the Executive Director (Finance) Requirements ·??????Diploma or University degree in accounting or relevant field ·??????Relevant professional certifications in Accounting /Finance are an advantage but not mandatory. ·??????Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Insurer ·??????Experience in a CONSTRUCTION or INSURANCE firm is an added advantage. ·??????Candidate must have extensive knowledge of insurance policies and bonds Salary Range 300,000 – 350,000 Net (Negotiable) Qualified Candidates ONLY should fill out this form https://lnkd.in/dgS4bnBX
