As we conclude the month of June and enter into the second half of the year, we can’t help but reflect on how June was for us as a company. Something that stood out for us was a concept Myron Golden upholds in regards to selling your products & services: SWSWSWNSW, which means “some will, some won’t, so what, next, someone’s waiting”. You can apply this to your job search. Some employers will reject you, but so what???♂? There’re still employers who need your services regardless of the “no’s” you receive. How about you? What was your take home for the month? #dataanalyst #dataanalystjobs

This post is a little misleading: According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 273,000 to 152.5 million in February 2020. This represents an increase of 8.5 million jobs since January 2016, when employment was at 144 million. To calculate the percent increase from January 2016 to February 2020, we can use the following steps: - Net Job Gain = Total nonfarm payroll employment in February 2020 - Total nonfarm payroll employment in January 2016 - Net Job Gain = 152.5 million - 144 million - Net Job Gain = 8.5 million - Percentage Change = (Net Job Gain / Total nonfarm payroll employment in January 2016) * 100% - Percentage Change = (8.5 million / 144 million) * 100% - Percentage Change ≈ 5.9% So, there was a 5.9% increase in employment from January 2016 to February 2020. Now let's calculate the percentage increase from February 2020 to June 2024: The employment level in February 2020 was 152.5 million while the total nonfarm payroll employment in June 2024 was 156.2 million. Net Job Gain = Total nonfarm payroll employment in June 2024 - Total nonfarm payroll employment in February 2020, which is net job gain = 156.2 million - 152.5 million = 3.7 million The percentage change = (Net Job Gain / Total nonfarm payroll employment in February 2020) * 100%, which is percentage change = (3.7 million / 152.5 million) * 100% ≈ 2.43% So, there was a 2.43% increase in employment from February 2020 to June 2024. Therefore, while the number of nonfarm jobs has increased by 15.6 million since February 2020, only 3.7 million of those jobs represent a net gain. The remaining 11.9 million jobs (15.6 - 3.7 = 11.9) represent jobs that were lost during the pandemic and have since been recovered. To calculate the percentage of jobs that are not actually new, but rather recovered, you can divide the number of recovered jobs (11.9 million) by the total number of new jobs (15.6 million), and then multiply by 100: (11,900,000 / 15,600,000) x 100% = 76.3% So, approximately 76% of the 15.6 million new jobs added since February 2020 are actually recovered jobs, rather than net new jobs.
In June's Job report, more than 206,000 jobs were created last month. A record 15.7 million jobs have been created during Joe Biden's Administration.?
