The key to supporting Taiwan Consider this Concept of Operations (CONOP) for the United States Air Force: - An aircraft generation squadron operating with the US Marine Corps stays mobile in the first island chain, going from hide site to hide site. China is unable to solve the "SCUD problem," and squadron personnel stay safe. - The squadron is sent a Low-Probability of Intercept (LPI)?"execute message" from the joint command center, which includes preplanned parameters (number of aircraft, payload, rendezvous points, etc.). - The squadron executes a meticulously planned operation, moving to a pre-surveyed road on the island and initiating aircraft generation. This process involves unpacking the aircraft, assembling the wing structures, and inserting the mission modules and weapons. - The two launch teams move to their positions. The actual length between them is classified, but it is <<8000 feet. They put the first aircraft on the trolleys and prepare to launch. - Both teams employ the trolley technique to launch their aircraft. This method involves launching left to right, then right to left, and repeating as necessary to get the aircraft in the air. It's a coordinated dance of precision and timing, honed through multiple exercises. Spares are ready to fill in as needed. - The aircraft fly to their pre-planned execution points, updating their mission software en route. - The joint command center matches them with targets of opportunity. These aircraft execute as directed. - The aircraft that survive fly to prioritized recovery zones, cut their engines, deploy their parachutes, and float to the ground or water. - Recovery teams take these aircraft, do minor repairs as necessary, and then give them to the Marines logistics teams, who deliver them to the launch teams. - Repeat x10000 - With airpower support, the Taiwan Defense Forces repel the Chinese assault on their country (yes, I said country). The United States remains the preferred security partner in Asia, which has huge benefits for our economic health and well-being. I've posted this before and comments/messages come close to death threats. It's insane how emotional people can get while simultaneously being blind to standards. Here we go again. ??There are multiple color guards behind the casket. Not a problem. More than one color guard is common at first responder funerals (departments bring their own colors) and massing of the colors ceremonies where dozens upon dozens of teams show up. ?We should never drape a flag on a body. The Flag Code specifically states to not put the flag into a situation where it can be easily soiled. A dead body is not the cleanest environment. ?An interment flag can be placed on a closed casket, folded in waves on a half open casket, or folded into a triangle and placed near the head just inside the lid of the casket. That's it. ?K9s and MWDs are considered a member of the agency or service. They receive similar honors. ??It's terrible to lose a pet dog, we have buried many. And now...they're safe. My husband and I spent the weekend adding a bunch of ropes and camo-netting to hide our surviving chickens. We'll soon be adding a few pullets to the mix as chicks take far too much time during conference season. ?? They both learned fairly quickly that they are no longer "free-range"(and tbh, we were very lucky for two + years), although cranky as hell... I imagined them banging tin cups along the sides of their 15 x 20 coop as they cackled loudly, marching up and down. Now they have an extended safe scratch space. #Safety is SO important, folks.
