Job Description: Senior Java Developer with AWS Cloud Experience Position: Senior Java Developer?? Experience: 5+ Years?? Contract Duration: 6 Months?? Location: Hybrid (Bangalore) Key Responsibilities: - Develop, investigate, diagnose, and resolve performance issues for applications. - Complete the design, development, and testing of components to deliver reliable, stable, and operationally sound applications, systems, and infrastructure that meet business requirements and industry best practices. - Review work (individual and team) and provide guidance, advice, and assistance to less experienced colleagues as required. - Ensure the consistent use and application of tools, standards, methods, and processes to develop quality applications with maintainable code, supporting risk and compliance management. - Specify interfaces and translate logical designs into physical designs, considering the target environment, performance, security requirements, and existing systems. - Develop quick POCs for technical solution feasibility using prototyping tools when necessary. - Employ CI/CD and DevOps practices endorsed by Group Technology and leverage existing platform services. - Stay updated on emerging technologies, particularly in developing customer-facing web application designs to better serve customer and business needs. - Develop and enhance enterprise Java applications with significant integration footprints. - Lead agile teams and contribute to agile methodologies. - Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. - Utilize strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Understand application performance and capacity concerns. Technical Skills: - At least 5+ years of experience in Java & J2EE. - At least 3 years of experience with AWS. - Experience in product implementation, i.e., deploying vendor products on the cloud, is a plus. - Strong understanding of REST APIs and web services with at least 3+ years of development experience. - Proficient in using the Spring framework. - Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases. - Experience with Linux and shell scripting. - Experience in application/software deployment. - Understanding of infrastructure and hosting platforms is an added benefit.
