The successful conclusion of events in Rennes marks a significant milestone for the EDUC-SHARE project! From enlightening meetings to dynamic workshops, participants have played a crucial role in advancing the project.?Beyond celebrations, our recent EDUC-SHARE events in Rennes included a strategic workshop uniting the Technology Transfer Offices of the EDUC Alliance. The workshop, a key component of the EDUC Alliance,?focused on the development of a common strategy for benchmarking, with the goal of establishing robust knowledge transfer ecosystems across member institutions. Noteworthy during the workshop, Zsolt Bedo, PhD, Habil. from the University of Pécs presented the innovative Openup platform. The platform is set to play a pivotal role in fostering learning and promoting creative entrepreneurial collaborations within the EDUC Alliance.? ? It's almost impossible to remember all the incredible experiences this project has created for me, the tiny team and the many, many people who have come to help build this crazy concept of an experimental knowledge lab that helps people activate their agency to effect positive systems change. I just had an inspiring conversation with Christian Rasmussen, one of our exceptionally talented Computer Science students at Macaulay City College, and our Provost Roblin Meeks. We really want to strengthen cross-campus peer connections around research their interests (without the competitiveness). There's no app for that! And so, Christian suggested he and fellow Macaulay students might work to design a solution. It’s moments like these that remind me why of we always need collaborative problem-solvers like him. This one hour exchange has sparked new ideas about integrating more real-world projects into our senior capstone experiences and upper-level courses. Incubators, entrepreneurialism, research mentoring, positive impact, peer-led community building...all the stuff my dreams are made of. Starting a small team of problem solving innovators. Two campus students, myself and a colleague from Mount Mary are going to be using the design thinking process to solve all kinds of campus issues from scholarships and food choices to marketing and the water bottle crisis. I look forward to seeing the innovations we come up with. After we get this going we will be working g with other local nonprofits and companies looking to solve problems in their workforce and companies. So if you have issues you can’t seem to solve and want to work with an innovative group of young thinkers, give me a shout. #DesignThinking

I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Digital Scholarship Hackathon hosted by ASU Lincoln Center for Applied Ethics at Arizona State University. The event focused on knowledge sharing in the digital humanities, exploring the profound impacts of technology on society and how it transforms our approaches to study and knowledge dissemination across various disciplines. The day was structured uniquely, blending elements of a #Hackathon, #Unconferences, and a #HumanitiesandTechnologyCamp. This dynamic setup fostered a collaborative and innovative environment. It was really cool to have half the conference participants from Thunderbird School of Global Management, including Tawanda Vera, Hewan Asgedom, Victoria Minerva, Sanjivani Seeliya, Aya Warde, Sahana Suresh Mohan Kumar, and Anumoy Chatterjee. Top Takeaways from the Hackathon: Choose Wisely: Reflect deeply on your project choices. Consider the longevity and impact of your involvement. What meaningful contribution is your project making? Seek Partners, Not Services: Prioritize building partnerships and finding collaborators who share your vision and goals. As a newfound digital humanist, I'm excited to use this lens to approach my future endeavors in sustainability, smart city technology, and urban development.
