The Scottish National Investment Bank has announced ￡20m of support for XLCC to develop a new manufacturing facility on the site of the former Hunterston Terminal in Ayrshire. Once complete it will support about 900 jobs, including more than 200 apprenticeships, and will be capable of producing thousands of kilometres of high voltage cable each year. #scotlandisnow

Lightspring Solar Solar and SAGE Development Authority are leading solar projects that empower local communities through hands-on apprenticeships, like the installation programs at Wakpala and Kenel. This report highlights the role of Building Performance Standards (BPS) and they can be a game-changer in national #decarbonisation efforts. 1. BPS are outcome-based policies aimed at reducing the #carbonimpact of existing buildings. 2. These standards support decarbonisation efforts across multiple industries and economic levels. 3. Buildings complying with BPS policies can remove emissions equivalent to 223 gas-powered passenger vehicles from the road. As state and local governments strive to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, BPS are gaining significant momentum. They play a vital role alongside building codes, assessment frameworks, and certification schemes in delivering on global climate goals.

Yesterday, the U.S. Climate Alliance announced the Governors' Climate-Ready Workforce Initiative, which calls for members to work to collectively support 1 million new workers in completing Registered Apprenticeship programs across the coalition by 2035. The initiative aims to accelerate the development of a diverse, equitable, and inclusive climate-ready workforce and expand career pathways for new and existing workers into the good-paying jobs that will be created as the United States advances its climate goals and works toward a just economic and energy transition. As part of this Alliance, Maine will join Massachusetts in leading the Clean Buildings and Industry area, focused on careers in engineering, design, construction, retrofitting, maintenance, and operation of buildings and industrial processes that are clean, energy-efficient, healthy, and resilient. Coming up Energy Electricity The conversion of heat to electricity is obsolete. It wastes over 70% of the heat generated, which causes the world's undesired heat to rise. 1. Stop handling thermodynamics double heat. 2. Steam transmits its pressure/flow to a liquid (water, oil, etc.), and then the liquid spins a hydraulic turbine. So, as a transition solution, we multiply by more than four electricity outputs. Then, any natural unfrozen water becomes an electricity/energy producer powered by free-fee surface waters warmed in oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, and ambient air. Not only do we enter the world's prosperity ages/ areas.?
