Made in The U.S.A. ???? Lots of reasons why this matters...One is the principle that NATIONAL POWER FOLLOWS THE MANUFACTURING. It has ever been so. Two quick examples: (1) Remember that England didn't want her colonies to do the manufacturing, but rather to be the sources of her raw material. The American colonies defied this, took over the manufacturing, and (well) the rest is history; (2) Ancient Israel found herself at a serious disadvantage in a conflict with one of her neighbors. We have that account in the Old Testament book of 1 Samuel chapter 13: //Not a blacksmith could be found in the whole land of Israel, because the Philistines had said, “Otherwise the Hebrews will make swords or spears!” So all Israel went down to the Philistines to have their plow points, mattocks, axes and sickles sharpened....?So on the day of the battle not a soldier with Saul and Jonathan had a sword or spear in his hand; only Saul and his son Jonathan had them.// In this instance Ancient Israel had to count on a MIRACLE. While I would never rule out a miracle, it's just not a wise national policy to count on them. We should learn from history. And while you and I may not be in charge of national policy, we can do our own small part as buyers to source domestically whenever possible.
