PCI has been selected to receive a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) - application for “Reducing Embodied Greenhouse Gas Emissions for Construction Materials and Products (EPA-R-OCSPP-OPPT-FY2023-001). To assist with the grant management, PCI is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to partner with a firm or consultant to provide grant management services for a five-year federal grant. PCI will act as the awardee/recipient with two subawardees/subrecipients. PCI will be responsible for managing the subgrantee contracts for the duration of the grant cycle. In anticipation of receiving the award, this RFP will provide grant management services for the period of the grant. The next precast concrete benefit highlight is life quality. Using precast concrete improves indoor environmental quality, does not require chemical preservatives, is energy efficient, and more. Precast concrete walls also help reduce off-gassing. Governors Island Ventilation Building in New York is a great example of life quality. This building is one of four structures that contain dozens of giant fans responsible for pulling vehicle emissions out and can completely replace the tunnel's air every ninety seconds.
