Teambuilding. Many of the pickleball facilities we work with offer "corporate teambuilding" on their websites. This often includes court rentals, maybe some instruction, and maybe some food and drink. Is that really teambuilding? Does that help you build a stronger culture, improve communication, and have residual value after the event? Pickleball as a true teambuilding experience involves: ? basic instruction so that everyone can access the sport ? activities that help teams use the play experience as a way to see/understand more about how they behave (communicate, collaborate, strategize) as teammates ?some competition that helps put those skills to the test of some "pressure" ?ways to celebrate one another - not just for pickleball skills, but for demonstrating teaming traits (i.e. communication, body language, alignment, etc.) ?a debrief to talk about how the experience revealed, affected, and will continue to impact the team dynamics moving forward. The cyclist regardless is riding pretty close to the black car, and he didn’t allow enough space to safely pass alongside. It’s a busy road, and cyclists are generally advised to keep a predictable, safe position to avoid putting themselves or others in situations where quick adjustments might be needed, seems he was trying to prove a point rather than adjust and stay safe. Also the cyclist isn’t wearing reflective clothing or a helmet and the clothing is really dark, it could suggest they weren’t taking every step to be as visible and protected as possible. In such close quarters, the cyclist contributed to the unsafe situation. That said, there’s likely a case to be made for the other side too. Road safety goes both ways, and drivers also have a responsibility to give cyclists plenty of space. What really gets me is how aggressive and confrontational people get in post threads when discussions are remote. I have been in training rooms when similar videos are shown and its almost impossible to get a comment or opinion out of anyone. What are your thoughts? #discussion #debate #opinion #doncaster
