Do you like being photographed?
Having your photograph taken can feel like a nightmare. I know so many clients, friends and family who absolutely hate it. In my experience it's about 50:50.
That's a lot of people who really find it uncomfortable in front of camera.
So that's where I come in.
Engagement is everything when photographing people and for those that are uncomfortable, shy or just hate being photographed that's when my superpowers kick in.
My priority is to get my clients to feel that they can trust me to take great pictures of them. Confidence, encouragement, positivity, energy and the appropriate humour are all part of the magic ingredients. Empowering them in the decision making process is also key. That may include location, what to wear and looking into or away from camera. The entire shoot becomes a team effort.
"Looking good. Keep it there" or "Amazing stance, just a few more" all help the client feel they are doing a good job.
It usually takes about 15 minutes to get an uncomfortable client relaxed but when it happens it makes a world of difference to the results.
Thanks Nick Cushing for trusting me with you new profile.
