"The Tehuacán-Cuicatlán region is one of Southern Mexico's three cradles of civilization, yet it's largely understudied... The sites that we've chosen to restart the cultural studies of the region, the Ruta del Rio Grande, are crucial for understanding both the rich cultural and natural history of the area, which holds immense biodiversity and historical significance. The work now is to make a roadmap of what has to be done. There is a lot of work ahead of us. It's a task that seems almost impossible. But by determining some areas for intensive work, we aim to create a multiplier effect, ensuring that generations to come will continue to gain knowledge about this remarkable region." ??
