It’s super important to involve ourselves in grassroots causes. Not only because it creates viral posts (fingers crossed) but it helps us to source hard to reach talent, which is our life blood. There are a lot of crossovers between being a succesful sports team and running a successful business, with three being: 1. Teamwork and collaboration 2. Training and preparation 3. Goal setting and performance management Lastly, it’s just a cool thing to do and having fun in business is underrated. ??????

You’re smashing your opponents 4-0 before the interval, and at half-time, your gaffer reminds you: “It’s still 0-0!” in an attempt to keep you focused—so you don’t relax and switch off as the game is far from over! I had a great call with Steve Guest ?? this morning, and this infamous saying came up in our conversation. As two football fanatics, our chats naturally turn to the game, and Steve always shares great advice on how we can apply sporting experiences to our daily work. We spoke about how every day is a fresh start—no matter how well your previous days, weeks, or months have gone, you need to approach each day as if the score is 0-0. It doesn’t matter if it’s Monday or Friday — every day is a new opportunity to win! Can you think of any other sporting experiences or examples that can be applied to daily work? Admission Payments: Admission is cash-only tomorrow. Concessions accept credit cards and cash. ?? Scorekeepers: Each team must provide at least one scorekeeper (you can have more if needed). Scorekeepers do not need to pay an admission fee. ? Arrival Time & Waivers: Arrive 30 minutes before your first game to: Sign player waivers. Settle in and find your court. ??
