Great talk about trust ? and a great reminder of how the Energy Leadership concept and the 7 levels of energy influence trust ??
Level 1: Victim (Energy: Guilt, Fear, Apathy) - At this level, people see themselves as powerless and unable to control their situations. This creates suspicion and a lack of accountability, making trust very difficult.
Level 2: Antagonist (Energy: Anger, Resentment) - This level is fueled by a "win-lose" mentality. Constant blame and a focus on competition erode trust and create a combative environment.
Level 3: Rationalizer (Energy: Resignation, Cynicism) - People at this level are passive and avoid conflict. They may not actively break trust, but their lack of engagement and support can be just as damaging.
Level 4: Helper (Energy: Care, Compassion) - This is where trust starts to take root. People at this level are genuinely interested in helping others and building positive relationships. Empathy starts to emerge as you consider others' feelings. However, logic can still be used defensively, and authenticity might be limited by a desire to please others. Trust can start to form here, but it's conditional. It can lead to one-sided dynamics if not balanced with healthy boundaries.
Level 5: Collaborator (Energy: Problem-Solving, Efficiency) - This level focuses on non-judgement and getting things done collaboratively. Empathy flourishes as you see things from others' perspectives. Logic is used strategically to build consensus. Trust is built through increased authenticity and the ability to deliver on commitments.?People value different perspectives and work together to achieve common goals. This level is about collaboration and creating win-win situations.
Level 6: Connector (Energy: Synergy, Open Communication) - The connector fosters trust through open communication, shared vision, and mutual respect. Authenticity is high as you're comfortable being yourself and value different perspectives. Trust becomes genuine and deep-rooted at this level.
Level 7: Creator (Energy: Inspiration, Innovation) - This is the highest level. Creators inspire trust by inspiring a sense of purpose and possibility. They can create a shared future that motivates and unites people. Empathy is boundless, and logic is used to build a shared vision. Authenticity is effortless and trust is a foundation for achieving extraordinary results together.
Building Trust Across Levels
Everyone operates across these levels throughout the day. The key to building trust is to consciously move towards the higher levels where empathy, logic, and authenticity can truly flourish.
