It was just a few minutes past seven in the morning when I stopped at the fueling station to get petrol. I prefer to visit this particular gas station because I find the staff very polite, helpful and they have a smile on their face. And what a nice feeling it was this morning, when the lady at this petrol pump handed me a complimentary copy of today's newspaper. It just brought a smile to my face. Think about it. This is what customer delight and client satisfaction is about, isn't it? What a strategy! Spending a few cents per 'customer' converts them to repeatable 'clients'. Well, then spending money on gifting newspapers is not an expense for the business.
