HIPAA guidelines make it nearly impossible for healthcare organizations to effectively use digital advertising platforms in the same way other industries use them. The guidelines block the use of traditional tracking technologies because those technologies automatically collect Protected Health Information (PHI). But those tracking technologies are essential for feeding data back to ad platforms like Google Ads and Meta to optimize ad performance, targeting the right audiences, and driving down costs. It seems we've entered an era where slapping "marketing" onto any random word is considered groundbreaking strategy. Let's take a moment to appreciate some of these linguistic monstrosities: **Interest Marketing**: Because apparently, boring your audience to tears was the old way. **Curiosity Marketing**: For when you want your customers to feel like cats chasing laser pointers. **Suspense Marketing**: Also known as "Will they ever get to the point?" marketing. What's next? "Sneezing Marketing" for allergy medication? "Procrastination Marketing" for productivity apps? Can we please put an end to this madness before we end up with "Marketing Marketing" – a concept so meta it might cause the universe to implode? Remember, folks: Just because we can add "marketing" to a word, doesn't mean we should.
