This Veterans Day, we honor all who have served and celebrate the strength found in connections between Veterans. Like Papa member Arnold and Papa Pal Tom, two Veterans with disabilities who developed a quick bond over their shared military history. “We have something in common,” Arnold says of Tom. “He’s a Veteran himself, so it’s a Veterans-helping-Veterans thing. He’s just a good man. He really enjoys me just as much as I enjoy him.” We’re proud to see Veterans find connection and purpose beyond their years of service through Papa. Today, we thank all Veterans and their families—not only for their past sacrifices, but for the positive impact they make each day in their communities. ?? ?? https://lnkd.in/eDRmHP3J #VeteransDay #PapaPals #VeteranSupport

This Memorial Day we recognize and honor the sacrifice of our service members. We remember those we lost and are grateful to every soul who fought for our country. Thank you to our American soldiers, veterans, military, and service workers. May God strengthen those still in the field and may there be a safe trip home. Eureka Wealth Solutions will be pausing today to reflect and remember, full of gratitude; for many among us have paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we may be free. We are the United States of America because of the bravery of those who have stood strong on the front lines. #ImpactInvesting #investments #wealthmanagement #financialplanning

May is Military Appreciation Month, a time to honor and recognize the contributions and sacrifices of the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Every day, American service members and their families make the selfless decision to help defend our freedoms and safety around the globe. Military life often involves huge sacrifices – whether it’s relocating far from family and friends or service members’ spouses giving up their own careers to keep their family unit together. There are countless ways to show your appreciation and give back to our veterans, active military personnel and their families. One of the simplest ways of showing appreciation is to say, “thank you.” You might also consider giving a military spouse a hand in their day-to-day lives. If you know a deployed military family, why not drop off a meal, offer to babysit or take their dog for a walk? And if you’re a business owner, giving back can be as easy as providing a military discount. These small gestures can go a long way in supporting service members and their families. As a veteran myself, I understand the importance of support and camaraderie within the military community and I encourage you to join me in showing appreciation in whatever way you can, both this month and always. #MilitaryAppreciationMonth #MilitaryAppreciation #Veterans #SupportOurVeterans

Today is Memorial Day, where we remember and honor our fallen soldiers. Do you know about the long history of Native Americans serving in the military? Take a look at the article "Reflections on Native Americans and Memorial Day" from Native News Online, written by by Levi Rickert: https://rb.gy/5n6a98 "Throughout American history, American Indians and Alaska Natives have proudly served and died for the United States of America. According to the Oxford Companion to American Military History, American Indians and Alaska Natives have the highest record of military service per capita compared to any other racial/ethnic group in the United States. Remarkably, even before American Indians became citizens of the United States in 1924, during World War I (July 28, 1914 – November 11, 1918), some 12,500 American Indians served in the armed forces. They fought for freedom when they weren’t even citizens of this country. Almost two-thirds of American Indians who served did so in the infantry, where they won widespread praise for bravery and achievement. Almost 5% of American Indian combat soldiers lost their lives, compared to 1% of American forces overall." Your Post has triggered my curity: to know if there was a role that the “Tuskegee Airmen” or the “Red Tails” served during the Vietnam War Era? This will be my next Research Project!
Between Nov. 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975, 3.9 million Americans served in the Vietnam War. Today, we pay tribute to those veterans and their families, many of whom never received the recognition or gratitude they deserved when they returned home. To those veterans, as well as the nearly 60,000 who didn’t make it home, we thank you endlessly for your service and sacrifice. ?? #NationalVietnamWarVeteransDay

To all veterans, including immigrant veterans, thank you for your service to the United States of America. Your courage and sacrifice deeply appreciated. Today, as I reflected on the unique contributions of immigrant veterans in a time when anti-immigrant rhetoric continues to grow louder, I thought this recent study featured in Defense One revealed something powerful: immigrants show an even greater willingness to serve in the U.S. military than their native-born peers. Article Link: https://lnkd.in/ga97TPT3 Sadly, this powerful truth, which highlights the patriotism of immigrants, has been drowned out in our national conversation about immigration by misguided claims that immigrants detract from our country. To the contrary, immigrant veterans make invaluable contributions that strengthen both our military and our society, proving that embracing diversity is a strategic advantage for our nation, not a liability. Every day, immigrant veterans stand ready to make sacrifices for the freedoms we hold dear, reminding us that true patriotism transcends borders. As we honor the service of veterans today, including immigrant veterans, let’s also recognize the importance of creating an inclusive America where those willing to serve are met with respect and opportunity, regardless of where they were born. #ImmigrantVeterans #DiversityIsOurStrength #ImmigrantsMakeAmericaGreat
This Veterans Day, we proudly honor the courageous men and women who have served in the U.S. military - including the thousands of immigrant veterans who embodied the American dream in service of our nation. ?? Did you know that there are over 700,000 immigrant veterans living in the US? At Ellis Porter, we are inspired by the stories of immigrant veterans who served with pride, dedication, and an unwavering belief in America values. Their contributions remind us that America’s strength lies in its diversity and a shared vision of a better future. To all veterans, thank you for your service. And to immigrant veterans, thank you for choosing to serve this nation and make it stronger for us all. #VeteransDay #ImmigrantVeterans

Today, we remember them ?????? . .On this Remembrance Day, we honor the brave souls who sacrificed everything for our freedom. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten. Let us take a moment to reflect on their legacy and express our deepest gratitude. . . Did you know that more than 118,000 Canadians have died in military service throughout our nation's history1? Additionally, there are still living veterans who served in the World Wars, though their numbers are dwindling. As of recent estimates, there are fewer than 30,000 living Canadian veterans from World War II2. Their sacrifices remind us of the true cost of freedom and the importance of remembering those who served. . . #haloteamlove #RemembranceDay #LestWeForget #CanadaRemembers #remembranceday2024 #werememberthem #inflandersfields 1( https://zurl.co/Jp5P): Source: Canadian War Museum 2(https://zurl.co/IaS8): Source: The Canadian Encyclopedia
