Intuitive explanation of KL Divergence and its relationship to cross-entropy (CE) from Luis Serrano. They represent the same thing, a measure of the similarity between two probability distributions. However, the similarity between a distribution and itself is always 0 with KL, while it could be non-zero with CE. As a matter of fact, KL(P, Q) is just CE(P, Q) - Entropy(P), and guess what, Entropy(P) is CE(P, P). KL (P, Q) is always greater or equal to 0. KL(P, Q) is not always equal to KL(Q, P), so KL is not a distance.

Rounding out an implementation of a Linked List with code proofs in Dafny. Formal Methods can rule out surprisingly wide classes of bugs, and in this case it's not very difficult to do! To simplify things we use a purely functional implementation, which would not be possible for a doubly-linked list. Perhaps we'll take that one on later :) https://lnkd.in/gmG3XnWQ
