“I left the hospital in extreme danger as bullets flew past the buildings,” Doctor Luc of State University of Haiti Hospital said. The crisis in Haiti weighs heavy on our hearts. Armed gangs have ravaged hospitals, leaving millions without care. Stories like Dr. Luc's remind us of the urgency. But amid darkness, there's hope. As of January 13, community health centers in La Gonave had benefited from medical equipment, medicine, and inputs. The hospital currently operates an oxygen production center that can meet the needs of the hospital and outlying hospital centers. The P.C.R.F. helps to locate free medical care for children from the Middle East who are unable to get the necessary and specialized treatment in their homeland. Greetings Iam raising funds to support my father, a university professor and family medicine consultant, who is volunteering at a clinic in the Umdurman neighborhood of Sudan. His clinic is a lifeline for hundreds of patients daily, many of them children under five suffering from severe malnutrition. The clinic provides essential medical care, but they are also doing everything possible to give food to these children, who desperately need nourishment to survive.Sudan has been ravaged by war since April 15, 2023, a conflict that has now lasted over 500 days. This devastating war between the Sudanese Army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has displaced millions and caused widespread destruction. The war has left 25 million people severely food insecure, with 5 million facing the immediate threat of starvation. Worse, 14 million children are in dire need of life-saving support.The conflict has obliterated infrastructure, disrupted food supplies, and left many areas inaccessible to humanitarian aid. Most people in Sudan cannot afford even a single meal, with fewer than one in twenty able to do so. Last week, I shared that in mid-July, I will be attempting to row approx. 650km across the North Sea from Scotland to Norway. Through this row I hope to raise awareness and much needed funds for a UK #NGO, Children Not Numbers, whose mission is to provide urgent medical support and long-term rehabilitation for children affected by conflict. Hi, I’m planning to return to Gaza next week. This week, I will buy medications, medical supplies, food, water, candy, toys, diapers, infant formula, slippers, and more to bring with us into Gaza. My goal is to raise enough money to do the following: 15 suitcases of supplies, this will cost at least $5000. Schedule and fund with our local partners to continue serving hot meals, organizing water tank distributions, and planning activities for children as well as give them more kites, toys, etc. To do it a few times a week, $1500 total for 3x a week. Please donate whatever you can to help us. Spread the word. Don’t just watch and feel sorry—there are groups of us who can go there and alleviate some of their burden.
