Another great podcast by Andrew Ward #pwcproud; For the last couple of years we (#pwc) have been keeping an eye on the evolution of air fares in domestic and international markets in the Middle East. Having a large correlation to airline costs, but also pricing strategy and competition, it is always in the best interest of nations to keep air travel cheap, afordable, estimulating demand and attracting visitors. Liberalizing the aviation market is just one lever to pull. Local airlines also need to be given competitive costs basis to be able to compete in a global market, with fuel, manpower, fleet and turnaround charges being the main drivers for competitiveness.
