Messing around with Runway and my latest AI concept: Solarpunk Cities. Still a lot of room to improve, but hey, we came to play, right? The possibilities with GenAI video tools are endless. Seriously. This video was created with Runway, which I still consider the best in the game. But Hailuo, Kling, and Sora (I guess so, couldn't try it yet since they aren’t here in Europe) are making big moves too. The track? Also AI-generated, using Udio. ?? I’m excited to share my latest project on #Speed_Estimation! In this project, I developed a system using the #YOLOv8 object detector and #DeepSORT object tracker. By integrating these tools, we can accurately estimate the speed of moving objects in real-time. Github: https://lnkd.in/dCjxdRrA To convert pixels into meters, I transformed the pixel values from video frames into a new 2D rectangle based on the number of pixels that fit into one meter. While the system provides realistic results, achieving even greater accuracy requires knowing the depth of the video frame. This approach enhances precision and makes the system particularly effective for applications in smart city initiatives, especially in safe city camera setups. Imagine urban environments where traffic safety is monitored and optimized—this project aims to contribute to that vision. ??
