?? **Fall Interns On Site: Transforming the Palace Theater** ?? Our fall interns took a field trip to Overaa Construction’s construction site at Oakland’s historic Palace Theater, where exciting changes are underway to create a new home for Bay Area Technology School! Led by PCSD’s Mary Grace Houlihan, PE, LS, the group explored the ins and outs of converting this 100-year-old landmark into a school space. Adrian Magallon shared highlights of the experience in his blog: from touring the active construction zone to learning about the meticulous preservation of original features like vintage flooring and water fountains. The team also got insight into how Overaa manages Oakland's building requirements to ensure a safe, efficient process.
