Hi, I'm Ben and I'm here on the product team at Origin. I focus on all things financial planning and long term guidance to help you build a stronger financial life. Earlier this year, Origin launched estate planning for all of our members and since then we've helped over 1000 people secure their financial lives in Origin with our trust and wills. I want to share a bit more about why Origin decided to build a state planning in the 1st place. When we looked at data from 10s of thousands of calls that Origin members have had with our financial planners, what we saw was that. Building an estate plan was one of the top things that planners told members to do in order to secure their financial lives. And then two options, the most comprehensive of those being our living trust. I always recommend that people start with the assessment. This is a great way to understand the benefits you get from estate planning and also which plan is right for you. With that, I'm going to go ahead and get started. So starting with the assessment. So here I'm going to choose that I'm married, have children, and potentially want some privacy and keep my assets out of the public record when I make this selection. I'm going to go ahead and get recommended a plan and in that case, that estate plan is going to be our living trust, which offers our most comprehensive protection and some additional benefits like in that case of privacy. It keeps my assets out of the public record, also helps me to avoid ending up in probate, which can really extend complicate the process of managing a trust. So first we're going to learn a bit about you. We're going to see if you're in a relationship. Here I'm going to enter information about my spouse and children. So once I go ahead and finalize this, at every step, we're going to show you a summary of what you told us to make sure that everything looks good. Great, so now that you've finished that first step, I'll walk through everything that's included inside of an estate planet origin. So we covered that basic info. We also have the ability when you have children or pets to assign guardians someone to look after your kids or pets if you're unable to. Every estate plan also has a trustee or executor that someone is going to make sure that your wishes are followed. Here you can also connect your assets and in order to make this extra easy by automatically giving you the chance to add any assets you have connected to origin. Also, we have flexible distributions here to make sure that your plan is followed how you want. Next, we have powers of attorney for both healthcare and finances. That's to help make sure that whoever you have and trust to make your decisions for you if you're unable to is given the authority to do so in the case that you might need that help. And lastly, we have special instructions to make sure that your wishes that your end of life care are followed exactly how you'd like. Next, I'm going to go ahead and Fast forward to show you what it looks like once you've completed your. The plan. So when you finish your estate plan, you're going to see all the documents that you just created. In this case, I've created a trust and you can see my will, my trust that provide attorney and a HIPAA authorization to share my medical information with my loved ones. If you're creating a state plan with a spouse, you can also see their docs here. So once I review these documents and know they look good, I can go ahead and continue. And that's it. We find that most people are able to create their state plan with origin in under 20 minutes and people love it.
