Applications can be submitted in response to a NRPU call for proposals (as per attached advertisement) . Submission must be made to the HEC online portal (research.hec.gov.pk) according to the guidelines provided in the call for proposals. Two stage mechanism is adopted to ensure the quality and transparency in the evaluation and award process of NRPU. The process will be as follows. Stage-I (Project Proposal Outline will be accepted from PIs without endorsement of ORIC/University) a. Open call for Project Proposal Outline submission will be published in national press and HEC website for inviting the research proposal outlines. b. Blind review will be conducted through panel of experts/subject specialists to evaluate proposal outlines. c. The shortlisted proposals outlines will be considered for Stage-II. Stage-II. (Detailed proposals will be accepted with the endorsement of ORIC/University) a. The PIs/Universities of shortlisted proposals will be requested to submit the detailed project proposals through online portal. b. The Complete proposal will pass through a second comprehensive review process by panel of experts for final weighted evaluation. c. The leading proposals will be selected for award after administrative approval of the competent authority of the HEC.
