Next cab off the rank was Tim Mortimer sharing his key tactics for long term success with a focus on nurturing leads and retaining clients. Up next was a panel imparting knowledge on building a brand.?The diversity of the panel included many brands under one umbrella of Alloggio Group Limited (formerly ASX:ALO) with Matthew Neill, a leading group that is Hometime with Clare Riley through to a curated Property Manager being LUXICO with Alexandra Ormerod. Bringing a hotel approach to short term rentals was Eoin Loftus GAICD who got attendees thinking about how to ensure their businesses focus on profitability and great insight into how to achieve this outcome. A key take-away of the tech panel - Tara Sward : HOMHERO, Yoav Tourel : Guesty, Michael O'Connell : Turno was how important it is to ensure that Property Managers, with so many tech offerings being in the market, ensure that the tech they are being presented with answers their specific needs.?This rung so true – when considering a digital guidebook such as Orana Software is the home of Orana Stay do you want to being on board our base solution that in itself will delight your guests and save you heaps of time or do you want to include our deep integrations or take it further by adding in revenue generation. An insightful presentation on automated guest communication followed where Ethan Brown ?????? Brown imparted great knowledge on the value automated tech brings to a business. The pricing panel with Roman Solyanyk, Chris de Closey, Deepanshu Nihalani and Samuel Steel highlighted the importance of pricing software and the danger of leaving money on the table when overlooking the importance of using it in your business. A highlight of the conference was the presentation from MadeComfy’s Sabrina Schwaighofer, insightful and bringing a personal touch, highlighting the importance of leadership, great take-aways, The pre-party wrapped up with a panel on navigating the sale with a focus on enhancing and selling your STR business in today’s market, and included the acquirers Will Creedon & William Crock and the sellers Julie George & Pete (Peter) Smith.?It’s not an easy decision to sell your business and it was captivating to see how the sale pulled on the heart strings of the sellers.?This presentation was one that resounded with me as our Founder Roger Graham has previously had a software business he built into industry leading success that was acquired by a leading technology business.
