We Love our Fathers and Fatherless back to Life
关于我们
Fathers’ Uplift, is the nation’s first Outpatient Mental Health Center for Child, Paternal Health, and Male Engagement. It was established to provide fathers with the clinical mental health care to more easily adjust to the challenges, emotions, and needs of becoming and being a father. Today, Fathers’ Uplift offers services to guide both men and families through three stages of fatherhood: pre-father education, fatherhood preparation, and fatherhood re-engagement. Our social work clinicians, who specialize in trauma, anger management, group counseling, individual counseling, and child and family counseling, provide clinical support to fathers and their families. We also leads fathers’ retreats and provides coaching to fathers to help them overcome the challenges and barriers they may encounter that would prevent them from remaining engaged in their children’s lives.

Empowering the Future of Mental Health Announcing the 2024 United States Therapist Recruitment (USTR) Fellowship Fathers' UpLift's founders, Samantha Fils-Daniels and Dr. Charles Daniels, are thrilled to announce the launch of the United States Therapist Recruitment (USTR) Fellowship. Recognizing the importance of diversity and representation in the mental health sector, we have embarked on this inspiring endeavor to uplift aspiring therapists from underrepresented communities. Mental health is a critical aspect of overall well-being, yet access to quality therapy services remains a challenge for many, especially in communities of color. Through the USTR Fellowship, our goal is to provide not only financial support to fellows during their Master’s and Doctorate studies but also mentorship and guidance to help them succeed. Samantha and I understand the barriers that come with navigating the path to becoming licensed therapists we’ve been there. Now, we are committed to ensuring that our fellows have the resources, support, and community they need to thrive. This non-traditional fellowship goes beyond financial assistance. It is about creating a network where aspiring therapists can connect, share knowledge, and empower one another to break systemic barriers in the mental health sector. Our emphasis on uplifting practitioners of color is at the heart of our mission to foster an inclusive mental health field that truly serves everyone. We believe in creating a ripple effect by supporting these future therapists, we are cultivating catalysts for change who will go on to uplift their communities and inspire future generations. As Mrs. Michelle Obama once told us, “Do not get to a table and forget to bring others along.” This fellowship is our way of putting those words into action, empowering future therapists with the skills and opportunities they need to make a difference. Together, we are creating a more inclusive, equitable society one that embraces the transformative power of diversity in healthcare. #USTRFellowship #FathersUpLift #EmpoweringTherapists #MentalHealthMatters #CharlesDaniels #SamanthaFilsDaniels #DiversityInMentalHealth #CatalystsForChange #FutureOfTherapy
