Raising children is a teamwork of parents, teachers, school and society. While beating children is bad but teaching children discipline is very essential. It's very important to teach them what not to say and do more importantly than what to say and do. It's important to teach them not to hurt others. In a society when all of us live together, it needs to be taught to children to be respectful and to be kind to one another. Most importantly to underprivileged communities and children from those communities. Many times, we do not understand that their challenges are much more than in comparison to ours. We also need to teach children to respect authority but not to become enslaved to authority but to respect and regard them and follow the orders for the betterment of society. Difference in leadership and bossing needs to be understood and taught to children. Leadership has different forms. Choosing the best form of leadership is important. But before choosing we need to have understanding of leadership. From where we evolved from stone age, where power was mostly physical and mental. But society was not formed in stone age, principles of life were not defined and developed. So, without an understanding of present world, where most people are educated behaving like dealing with uneducated people isn't acceptable. People must have a reasonable judgement and conduct. That doesn't come without teaching and learning in school. I feel we need psychologist in school to assess the children to teach kindness, respect and empathy and also channel their strengths to bring positive outcomes to create positive life impact. There are great people with great energies but imagine if they were taught right from the beginning and they knew kindness our world could have been the best place in the world. Not teaching children the essentials of living and not understanding psychology of child when they are all brought up alike there is no productivity. So having Psychologist assess the child give them the best tools to be the best people in their life would transform our world. We didn't need to say, ask and yell for our needs. System would have functioned smoothly. Little discipline is must for children, so they understand the importance of behaving themselves properly amongst others. Fathers played key role in disciplining children while mothers loved the children. So, raising children was a teamwork. I also want to request parents not to get separated when children are growing up. Stay together till children become adults if you need to get separated as well. Be as a family for the sake of your children and their future. Raising children is a teamwork of parents, teachers, school and society. If an adult is certain way, it's not just his fault it's because of parents, teachers, school and society. When so many people fail in a child's life an adult fails. So please try to not fail the child be there for each other for our children's sake.

#LetTheTruthBeTold ... In this episode, we discuss the NBA draft and the selection of legendary player #lebronjames' son Bronny James to play with the Los Angeles Lakers. We wish Bronny a highly successful NBA career and that he will silence the doubters with his skill, commitment, courage and confidence. There will always be haters and jealous naysayers who will find something negative to talk about, especially when it comes to Black families. The nepotism rumor has begun and is now in full swing in the news. This is utterly ridiculous when the owners of these teams have always practiced nepotism and I don't recall anyone bringing it up. In fact, the late Jerry Buss, who owned the L A Lakers hired his daughter, Jeanie Buss who began her sports management career when she was a teenager and is now owner of the LA Lakers. Another fact, Jerry Buss trained and guided Jeanie Buss through a comprehensive education preparing her to assume control over the organization once he passes on and set up a family trust for his children. We must recognize the significance and power of nepotism and use it to create generational wealth and legacy for our Black heirs. Again, congratulations to Bronny and hopefully one day, all these wealthy sports legends and other Black entrepreneurs will recognize that the "UNITY" in CommUNITY is detrimental to achieving a healthy Black collective family, whether kin by birth or kin by skin color. #nbadraft2024 ... #lebronjames ... #bronnyjames ... #nbadraft ... #nba ... #lakernation ... #losangeleslakers ... #sports ... #basketball ... #nepotism ... #blackfamily ... #blackchildren ... #blackcommunities ... #legacy ... #generationalwealth ... #youngblackentrepreneurs ... #nbanews ... #education ... #leadership ... #louisehicks ... #aimed2purpose

At the heart of fostering lies the responsibility to nurture a child's identity, celebrate their heritage, and build their self-esteem. For Black children, this is particularly important, as their identity is intricately tied to their cultural, historical, and personal experiences. Black foster carers play a vital role in understanding and preserving this unique identity. They recognise the importance of cultural traditions, hairstyles, food, and language in shaping a child’s sense of self. These are not just surface-level aspects but form the foundation of confidence and belonging. Creating a space where Black children feel seen and valued means addressing challenges like societal stereotypes and discrimination while instilling pride in their heritage. It means fostering an environment where their identity is celebrated, not questioned. Let us continue to champion and support Black foster carers, ensuring every child grows up rooted in love, understanding, and pride for who they are. As we commemorate Juneteenth, I want to talk a bit about its significance and why it remains an important observance in the Black community. Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston Bay, Texas, were informed of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. This video clip from the TV sitcom Black-ish, helped educate a global audience on the importance of Juneteenth. The show masterfully used humor to deliver key lessons, prompting viewers to reflect on the historical and cultural significance of Juneteenth. It’s pure satire when the White character at the end of the clip awkwardly says, “That was not uncomfortable at all.” Let’s face it, talking about Black history is uncomfortable whether we go back decades or are talking about it now. Although we have made strides with Juneteenth which represents not just the end of slavery, but a milestone in our nation's pursuit of freedom and human rights, we still have a long way to go. To be frank, we must learn from our history to foster a more inclusive and equitable future. And that’s what I am aiming to do at Pure Storage. What are you doing in your workplaces to build a more inclusive and equitable future for the Black community? Share below and let’s learn from each other in the comments. Let’s GO! #Juneteenth #equality #DEI??

Educational choice empowers the Black community by providing alternatives to under-resourced public schools, fostering economic progress, self-confidence, and personal initiative. Malcom X: and Me We may be more alike than not. https://lnkd.in/gqddQBtG I myself would go for nonviolence if it was consistent, if everybody was going to be nonviolent all the time. I'd say, okay, let's get with it, we'll all be nonviolent. But I don't go along with any kind of nonviolence unless everybody's going to be nonviolent. If they make the Ku Klux Klan nonviolent, I'll be nonviolent. If they make the White Citizens Council nonviolent, I'll be nonviolent. But as long as you've got somebody else not being nonviolent, I don't want anybody coming to me talking any nonviolent talk. I don't think it is fair to tell our people to be nonviolent unless someone is out there making the Klan and the Citizens Council and these other groups also be nonviolent... If the leaders of the nonviolent movement can go into the white community and teach nonviolence, good. I'd go along with that. But as long as I see them teaching nonviolence only in the black community, we can't go along with that. We believe in equality, and equality means that you have to put the same thing over here that you put over there. And if black people alone are going to be the ones who are nonviolent, then it's not fair. We throw ourselves off guard. In fact, we disarm ourselves and make ourselves defenseless. . . . [W]e of the Organization of Afro-American Unity realized the only time the black man in this country is given any kind of recognition, or even listened to, is when America is afraid of outside pressure, or when she's afraid of her image abroad. So we saw that it was necessary to expand the problem and the struggle of the black man in this country until it went above and beyond the jurisdiction of the United States. . . . What African Americans failed to do. Hamas has achieved.
