This is a great way to collaborate with ChatGPT. How have you used reverse interviewing to improve an idea?

I’ve been using ChatGPT’s advanced voice mode to help me write. Instead of asking it to write for me, though, I like to flip the script and have it ask *me* questions. It will ask me useful (and sometimes hilarious/surprising) questions that help pull out and shape an idea. Then I'll go write a first draft myself and edit it in Type.ai. It's pretty magical. Here's me collaborating with ChatGPT on an announcement I published earlier today:

I'm a professor from Brazil and I teach history. This month, one of my projects gained visibility; it's about recreating stories of characters from Afro-Brazilian and indigenous cultures in the form of comic books created by AI. On the 25th I will be in S?o Paulo for a Microsoft event. My English is basic and I'm worried about talking to people there, but I realized that using ChatGPT in voice mode makes it possible to talk and understand a conversation when I'm walking around. It will be interesting

Awesome to see how others use Voice mode. I’ve been using OpenAI to learn at a pace I never thought was imaginable. In 2 months I’ve gone from never using Visual Studio or GitHub, to having 2 functioning enterprise grade projects that I’ve conceptualised, explored, designed and built from the ground up with little coding or Python experience. Voice Mode gives me the opportunity to discuss strategy and make decisions on the go, be it walking the dogs at the dog park or going for a drive. The ability to enhance and dive deeper into my projects with Voice Mode has added another layer to how quickly I can make decisions. It’s really been the key to optimising my workflow. Keen to hear about other features on the horizon.

Holy Crap GPT o1 Preview - that came out of nowhere and man I just fell off my chair. I just ran an implementation into a python code which is sizeable it usually takes 3 to 4 continues to complete the code in full. o1 did it in 1 take 359 lines by its count. Its complex and with speeds almost as fast as Groq. I think I've fallen back in love ??

This is incredible! I am still waiting for the new voice feature to be available in my account. I take CahtGPT on walks with me, and it helps me to extract and brainstorm ideas and summarise my thoughts. Voice is a future of interacting with technologies...

I do this all the time, but never thought to call it reverse interviewing. ??Just lumped it in with “brainstorming”. ??♀?

Yes! We happened to start using this technique naturally too.

Reverse interviewing is a powerful tool that can help improve an idea by bringing out fresh perspectives and insights. To use this technique effectively, I like to start by identifying the key questions that need to be answered in order to fully flesh out the idea. Then, I use ChatGPT's advanced voice mode to ask myself these questions and record my responses.
