We have embraced the new regulations and achieved a sound improvement of 14 percent on our year-on-year emissions. At the same time, we maintained our strong track record on the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of the LNG carriers under our management and delivered groundbreaking initiatives on the DE&I front. SCS congratulates ALTR Created Diamonds for their achievement of the SCS-007 Sustainability Rated Diamonds certification. They received a Sustainability Rating score of 100, recorded the lowest emissions, and became the second company in the world to receive this certification for 100% renewable energy powered production. The SCS-007 certification, developed by SCS Standards, is the first comprehensive, multi-stakeholder sustainability standard with five key pillars that ensure every aspect of the diamond production meets rigorous ESG criteria. ALTR achieved certification by meeting all the requirements in verified origin traceability, ethical stewardship, net zero carbon footprint, sustainable production practices, and sustainability investments. ?? The European Commission has announced €4.8 billion to 85 innovative net-zero projects, including carbon capture and storage (CCS) initiatives. ? Among the projects supported by the Innovation Fund 2023 Call, 16 include carbon, capture and storage (CCS) activities. According to the Commission, these projects are set to cover 13% of the Net Zero Industry Act target of 50 million tonnes of CO2 storage capacity per year by 2030,?representing 6.5 Mt of CO2 captured and permanently stored annually. ? ?? Key highlights from the IF 2023 Call include: ??The first Onshore CO2 Storage in the EU supported by the Innovation Fund, with the Danube Removals project in Hungary ??Increased support of CCS projects across Europe, including in the Mediterranean Basin ??Awarded funding to two projects developing CO2 storage as an integral part of their scope? ? We have launched our 2023 Sustainability Report! Our fifth annual publication represents the broadest disclosure we’ve done to date.?We are proud of our progress in 2023 and would like to highlight these key achievements: ? Our five-year trend of reducing our carbon intensity continues, a result of the efforts made by the crews onboard as well as the team ashore. ? Our three LNG dual-fuel VLCCs were successfully delivered, and we have continued to invest in our LR1 fleet with six LNG dual-fuel ready newbuilds. ? Zero major safety incidents in 2023. ? We enhanced our current sustainability strategy, launching a project to deepen our understanding and integration of sustainability across our business. ? We have substantially expanded our disclosure scope based on feedback from our broad pool of stakeholders. This achievement is owed to the support of the entire organization, turning this into a truly All Hands effort. Swipe through this slideshow to discover our top 5 takeaways: Enapter is the commercial leader in AEM electrolysis, a disruptive technology that we believe has the potential to make green hydrogen affordable and accessible to all – and help end the use of fossil fuels. Sustainable business practices have always been an integral part of Enapter’s corporate philosophy, and we believe these are essential for every company’s long-term success. We try to minimise our impact on the environment at every step of the way, an ambition we are pursuing via the project “Life Cycle Impact Zero”. Both our production sites in Saerbeck and Pisa run on 100% renewable energy. Furthermore, we have reduced our CO2 emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by more than 90%. We’re also embracing circularity principles and have already committed ourselves to taking back our AEM Electrolysers at the end of their lifetime so that individual parts can be reused or recycled and as many raw materials as possible can be returned to the production cycle. As a listed German SME, Enapter is not yet required to report in line with the newly adopted European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). However, we want to demonstrate our ambition to be best-in-class in sustainability reporting. After already having reported our sustainability approaches in accordance with the SASB standard since 2020, we’re now happy to share that we have published our first ESG report following ESRS. To our knowledge, we’re the first electrolyser manufacturer structuring our sustainability report fully in line with ESRS.
