Jos DisCo donates solar lights, torchlights to protect transformers in Gombe. In a bid to curb vandalism of electricity infrastructure, the Jos Electricity Distribution Company on Thursday donated solar-powered streetlights, torchlights, and fuses to five communities in Gombe metropolis. The communities include Hassan Central Primary School in Herwagana, Liberty Junction around Jekadafari, Tumfure Market by Resort, Gabukka, Pantami Feeder, and Federal Low-Cost II. Miro has pledged and donated funds to the SEAC - Structural Engineers Association of Colorado Wind Committee Fundraiser to create a revised Colorado wind speed study, which will correctly define and fully cover the Front Range Special Wind Region. This important study focuses on wind speed data that was used to develop a 50-year map in 2006 due to a lack of knowledge of design level wind speeds for the Front Range Area. With Colorado experiencing increasingly high wind speeds these past several years, the committee was prompted to continuously aid in the development of the Colorado Front Range Gust Map and provide education on how to apply the wind load provisions of ASCE 7 to Colorado. LG Chem supports the mobility of senior residents in Korea’s island communities! ? LG Chem’s Yeosu plant has donated walking aids valued at approximately USD 7,100 (10 million KRW) to senior residents in the island regions of Yeosu, in partnership with Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority. ? Walking aids are essential yet often difficult to access due to their size and cost, especially in remote island areas. This initiative not only enhances the safety and convenience of the elderly’s daily movements but also contributes to the success of the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo. ? 2 years ago, POWER 4 ALL and their partners SOLAR Hope, Zonta Metro Club of Ortigas and Megaworld Foundation, Inc. distributed solar home kits for 50 families and school supplies for 300 children in Brgy. Sta Ines, Tanay, Rizal. A week later tragedy struck... A jeepney got stuck at night while crossing a river and a flash flood came due to heavy rains claiming the lives of 9 people. These 9 people where from the same community that was part of our outreach. We thought of ways on how to prevent something like this from happening again. Power 4 All raised funds to procure solar streetlights and we reached out to one of our partners Solar Hope to provide the coordination with the barangay as well as other materials needed. After a long journey and crossing several rivers, we finished installing these solar streetlights so that people will be able to pass through the area at night safely and be able to see the river levels before crossing.
