In the world where everyone wants automatic, instant and visual, and us being from Oceania –?we didn't want to appear as the Big Brother from Geoge Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four. In my original #EasyTimeQuestion1 post I mentioned that I think of "easy" in "EasyTime" as "ease of mind". For me it's not only about the "why", when the time is being recorded for you automatically, but also just about the time being recorded, period. Far from being the distraction – I feel the popups are an important signal that our users deserve. "We got you, you won't have to remember to record this manually" And yes, it is "instant gratification", too. It is also "instant feedback" –?only the user will know if spending 45min on a specific ticket is OK. EasyTime records in many places –?Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, IDEs, browsers, Slack and calendars... and everywhere where this happens in background, without any feedback –?I find it being much less satisfying... P.S. If you do want to go "full Big Brother" –?as Irina Mosina mentioned in her comment, there is a checkbox for this.
